he suspected shooter at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner wrote a manifesto prior to the event and also attended a No King’s protest, according to a senior Trump Administration official.

Cole Tomas Allen, 31, had a manifesto detailing his intentions to violently target officials of the Trump Administration. Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich first reported on the details:

Allen allegedly shared his manifesto with his family members before storming the Washington Hilton Ballroom where the dinner was being held. NBC News reported he was in possession of a shotgun, a handgun, and several knives when he was stopped an apprehended. Heinrich also reported in her post on X Allen’s brother contacted and alerted authorities after receiving the manifesto.

Allen also recently attended a leftist, anti-Trump No Kings protest, was a regular at the shooting range, and a member of a group known as The Wide Awakes.

A senior Trump Administration official confirm a report and details the Secret Service interviewed Allen’s sister, Avriana Allen. Heinrich continued:

“Allen said her brother had a tendency to make radical statements and his rhetoric constantly referenced a plan to do ‘something’ to fix the issues with today’s world.”

According to Charlie Kirk Show executive producer Andrew Kolvet, Allen was active on BlueSky “where he went by the handle ColdForce.bsky.social and posted multiple references violence and guns.”

Kolvet noted:

“In one post he calls President Trump the Antichrist. In another he recommends buying guns in reaction to Trump’s DOJ exploring ways to ban firearm purchases from transgenders.”

The Los Angeles Times reported Allen’s firearms were obtained legally; and, according to Heinrich, Allen bought his guns at CAP Tactical Firearms.

President Donald Trump, who was rushed off the dais after shots rang out, discussed the alleged manifesto with Fox News The Sunday Briefing.

“The guy is a sick guy. When you read his manifesto, he hates Christians. That’s one thing for sure. He hates Christians, a hatred. And I think his sister or his brother actually was complaining about it. You know, they were even complaining to law enforcement. So he was, he was a very troubled guy.”

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said on NBC News’s Meet the Press it appears Allen traveled from Los Angeles to Chicago, then on to Washington, DC, via train and checked into the Hilton a day or two before the dinner.

✪ Allen Donated to ActBlue & Voted For Kamala Harris

According to reports, Allen also donated money to the Democrat fundraising arm, ActBlue.

Allen’s donation meant went to former Vice President Kamala Harris’s (D) presidential campaign, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.

The newspaper said officials have not shared a possible motive behind the shooting that happened at the Washington Hilton Hotel where President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump were in attendance for the event:

In October 2024, Allen donated $25 to ActBlue, a political action committee that raises funds for Democrats, according to the Federal Election Commission. The money was earmarked for Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign. It was his only political donation listed on the FEC website in the past decade. Allen, who is registered to vote with no party preference, graduated from CalTech in 2017 with a degree in mechanical engineering. While at CalTech, he was a member of the school’s Christian fellowship and the nerf club, according to his LinkedIn profile.

The Sunday Times also reported on Allen’s $25 donation to ActBlue: “The authorities have not publicly released a motive. If confirmed to have been an attempt on the president’s life, the incident will have been the third such in two years.”

The news comes as Republicans in Washington, DC are currently investigating ActBlue for suspected foreign donations, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) recently disclosed during an interview. The Sunday Times explained:

“Jordan explained how big of a powerhouse ActBlue is, raising billions for Democrats every single election cycle. But things began to go a bit sideways for ActBlue during the 2024 election, after ‘their top people in their legal department dealing with fraud prevention resigned.”

The shooting incident happened Saturday evening when the hotel’s ballroom was full of attendees and Trump and his wife were in their seats onstage. Several loud booms were heard moments before they were removed from the room by the Secret Service and people began taking cover.

The gunman is accused of charging through a magnetometer and shooting a Secret Service member in the chest before being taken into custody.

President Trump held a press conference not long after the dinner was canceled, where he revealed the Secret Service officer who was shot in the chest was wearing a bulletproof vest and was doing “great.”

Per the Times report, Asian American Civic Trust President Dylan Wakayama said Allen tutored several teenagers who are members of the nonprofit based in Torrance, California. He said the young people’s opinion of Allen was that he was an intelligent and quiet person.

However, Wakayama said the students “were completely shocked when I told them that this all went down. I think all of us in Torrance would be shocked if this is the man who attempted to kill the president of the United States.”

✪ Attacker Used Hotel Stairwell To Bypass Security

The suspected shooter at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner allegedly used the hotel staircase to bypass security, according to a recent report.

“Senior law enforcement sources” told CBS News “hotel surveillance footage” showed Cole Tomas Allen exiting his hotel room at the Washington Hilton Hotel with “a shotgun, a handgun and several knives packed inside a black bag.”

Allen allegedly then “used an interior stairwell” to get around “heavily monitored public areas of the hotel,” before arriving on “the same level as the foyer leading to” the red carpet area for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

The report comes after President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other Cabinet officials who were attending the event were rushed out of the room after gunshots were heard during the dinner.

In video footage posted to social media, people attending the event were seen ducking underneath tables.

During a press briefing after the shooting, Trump shared that a Secret Service agent, who had been wearing a bulletproof vest, had been shot by the suspect.

“One officer was shot, but saved by the fact that he was wearing, obviously, a very good bulletproof vest,” Trump stated. “He was shot from very close distance with a very powerful gun, and the vest did the job.

Officials reported that Allen “had a manifesto detailing his intention to target officials in the Trump administration.” Allen was also reported to have “attended a leftist anti-Trump No Kings protest,” and “was a regular at the shooting range, and was a member of a group known as The Wide Awakes.” ✪
