n the decades since its inception, the international bureaucratic agency has been pushing to assert itself as a single-world government. This un-American agenda, however, directly conflicts with conservative Republican values.

Yet, Democrat President Joe Biden and his administration have been pushing to further deepen ties with the organization.

In response to the UN’s mounting power grab, Republican Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) has indicated that he will file a measure to “defund the United Nations.”

“Tomorrow I will file by bill to #DefundTheUN,” Lee announced posted on Twitter/X.

“Please like and repost if you’d like to see that bill become law.”

Some House Republicans have responded to the call by pledging to also push legislation to yank funding away from the globalist organization.

“So will I :)” Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) wrote in response to Lee’s post:

“The UN doesn’t deserve a single DIME of American taxpayer money,” states a follow-up tweet from the X account for Roy’s office. That’s why Rep. Roy is looking forward to introducing House legislation alongside @RepMikeRogersAL and @SenMikeLee that would DEFUND it.”

The prospect of pulling funding from the UN will certainly appeal to conservatives. However, such legislation will likely be dead on arrival since it would be unlikely to have enough support to move through Congress.

In addition to expressing support for cutting off UN funding, Lee has also suggested that the United States should “expel them too.”

During fearmongering remarks at the COP28 summit in Dubai last week, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned of “the sickness bringing our climate to its knees. A sickness only you, global leaders, can cure.”

He asserted that “Earth’s vital signs are failing.” He also demanded that all nations agree to a complete “phaseout.” Almost immediately after making the demands, Guterres boarded his private jet.

The hypocrisy doesn’t end with Guterres, however. Some of the nations that are currently members of the UN’s Human Rights Council include China and Cuba.✪
