here was a continual drumbeat from the legacy media throughout the entire election cycle that former President Donald Trump was a grave threat to democracy. Yet exit polls on Election Day showed that this was a concern of a far larger percentage of voters (73 percent) than just those who voted for Harris (48 percent). Commentators on election night struggled with explaining why Harris lost. The answer was leftist extremism and totalitarianism. In short, as Shakespeare put it through the character of Cassius, “The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves.” Leftists and their marxist orthodoxy are the great threat to democracy, not Trump.

They chose the most extreme politician to run for president, through an antidemocratic process of selection. She epitomized the two great idols of the Democrat Party, its raison d’être: unrestricted “reproductive freedom” (abortion) and coercive LGBTQ immorality. Harris in turn chose the most politically extreme running mate she could find, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

Leftists now control most of the news media, social media (thank God for Elon Musk’s X), the academy of colleges and universities, the entertainment industry, Fortune 500 companies and search engines. But that wasn’t enough control of the flow of information. No, they had to have more.

They had to push for further cancellation of free speech and “disinformation boards.” Harris, Walz, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry all came out with threats to free speech. Schools have become one-sided indoctrination centers rather than centers of learning.

The “News” media from the Left has become little more than thinly veiled propaganda organs of the Democrat Party. Their biased coverage of this election was shameful. They showed a lack of self-awareness that opinion was not news and left-wing ideology was not truth.

Still, it was not enough. They tried to secure a one-party state through a massive illegal immigration scheme, enabling unprecedented millions of border crossings to turn border states blue. They allowed catch-and-release into the interior of the country, providing an app (CBP One) for anyone in Central and South America to use so that they can fly into swing states. They opposed every voter ID law and every attempt to remove non-citizens from voter rolls. They are still keen on granting amnesty to all 13+ million illegal immigrants in the country. Why? Altruism? No, because they want one-party rule. It doesn’t matter that it increases crime and costs social services billions of dollars.

LGBT Extremism

As regards their LGBT idol, it wasn’t enough to push “gay pride” nonsense daily, as if being erotically attracted to the distinctives of one’s own sex is something to be proud about. No, they had to go further and oppress us with trans insanity, chemical castration and surgical mutilation of minors, even without parental consent, as well as putting males in female restrooms, lockerrooms, sports shelters and prisons. They had to incorporate into the curriculum regular indoctrination of minors in LGBT ideology, encouraging minors to pick their own pronouns, as if gender or sex had no intrinsic biological basis. They used one-sided propaganda to make children who were uncomfortable with their developing bodies find solutions in transgender identity.

Still, they wanted more. Harris insisted on taxpayer-funded “sex-reassignment surgery” for prisoners and illegal immigrants. They passed laws like the one that Gov. Gavin Newsom recently signed in California that allowed school administrators and teachers to keep secret from parents their child’s trans or gay identity. They had to push for the banning of any therapeutic help for those not wanting to live a life at odds with their own body. They had to make us confess, as though in some struggle session, that males were females and females were males. Who were we going to believe? Leftist ideologues or our lying eyes?

They had to push the LGBT agenda through attempted passage of the so-called “Equality Act” to put the nail in the coffin of any resistance to “LGBTQ+” dominance in schools, workplaces, businesses, professions, public venues, sports, social media and the home, with adverse implications for Christian schools and churches. They want the state to take from parents any “LGBTQ+” identified child if parents do not endorse that self-identification. They want to mandate celebration of homosexuality and transgenderism, and impose compelled speech with transgender pronouns and names. Any dissent would be a civil rights violation.

Abortion

What about their other idol, namely, “reproductive freedom?” It wasn’t enough that they could push in most states legalized abortion that covered the vast majority of cases. No, they had to insist on virtually unrestricted abortion for all nine months. When asked what kind of restrictions she might be willing to place on abortion, all Harris could say was that we should trust the mother to make her own decision in consultation with a pro-abortion doctor.

Not even that was enough for these extremists. They had to refuse lifesaving medical attention to a baby who survived a “botched” abortion. Harris twice voted against a “Born Alive” bill and Walz revoked a law in Minnesota providing such protections, even though this was literal infanticide.

Then we had to hear over and over again in a ghoulish series of campaign commercials how any candidate who was pro-life was an extremist, an insult to all pro-lifers. Harris said of anyone who did not support her view of “reproductive freedom” and LGBT promotion: “These extremists … they not like us.” How did we get to a place where it is “extremist” to be repulsed by the barbarities of taking innocent human life and promoting chemical castration of minors?

More Extremism

Still, this was not enough. Harris also insisted that there could be no religious exemptions for any member of the medical profession when it came to performing abortions. Christian hospitals, doctors, and nurses would be forced to kill innocent human life. Compulsory barbarity.

Even then their grasping at authoritarian power was insatiable. It wasn’t enough to nominate judges who viewed the Constitution as so many tea leaves into which left-wing ideology could be divined. No, they had to talk about packing the Supreme Court and imposing term limits that would result in the retirement of three conservative justices (Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and John Roberts) to be replaced by Harris’s own left-wing picks.

Still more was needed. Harris said that she wanted to discard the Senate filibuster (requiring a 60 percent supermajority) in order to make it easier to pass a national pro-abortion bill. Democrats want to get rid of the Electoral College to make it easier to win future elections. They want to make the Democrat territories of Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia into states in order to add four Democrat senators to the Senate, thereby controlling that body in perpetuity.

Still, they had to get a political obstacle out of the way: Trump. This the Democrats tried to do by means of a Russian hoax, two impeachments, and four prosecutions. Even some Democrats admit that this is politicized prosecution of one’s chief political opponent, Banana Republic stuff.

The majority of Americans now see that the biggest threat to our republic is the Democrat Party that runs most of the country. We finally just got tired of the political extremism and totalitarianism. That’s why Harris-Walz lost and why Trump-Vance won.✪
