VICTOR DAVIS HANSON: OUR SUPER BOWL SATYRICON

lll

n recent years, Americans have known what to expect from our Neronian Super Bowl halftime shows: mediocre music veneered over with gaudy, flashily lit, but ultimately empty and meaningless sets.

As seen again this year, the usual array of supporting dancers twerk and simulate intercourse, in sync with the main singer, mindlessly grabbing his/her genitals; apparently to highlight the explicit sexual allusions of mostly nonsensical lyrics.

For some strange reason, this Roman orgiastic ritual is supposedly designed by the NFL each year to appeal to American families of all ages as they gather together around the living room TV on their festive cultural holiday.

However, the script has now grown predictable and trite. This year’s mess jumped the shark and had a force-multiplying boring effect on one of the most tedious Super Bowl games in history.

The decision to have Bad Bunny as the main attraction to sing solely in Spanish—only 14 percent of the U.S. population is fluent in Spanish, while 90 percent is proficient in English—was apparently designed to grow the NFL’s global audience, particularly in the Western Hemisphere, or perhaps to shock America to get accustomed to its new official multilingual identity.

Yet of the anticipated 60 million Americans who likely watched this flat show, more than 50 million of them could neither read nor comprehend Spanish. And they had previously been insulted by Bunny to hurry up and learn Spanish before the game—or else?

How odd that America provides translations of every conceivable language in its courts, hospitals, and schools for minorities of non-English-speaking residents. And yet at its annual signature sporting event, the marquee and main-event non-English speaker would not even provide translations for the vast majority of the viewing population.

Part of the hype of Bunny’s appearance was his supposedly edgy decision to perform entirely in Spanish. But was that really so avant-garde?

What would have been far more against-the-grain and bold for Bad Bunny would have been to find some way to reconnect with the millions of disenchanted families who simply wish a hiatus from the monotonously gross and politicized Super Bowl bacchanalias.

Most in the stadium had no idea what Bad Bunny was singing about, if we can call his nonstop talking and mumbling true music.

Fortunately for Bunny, that language barrier turned out to be about the only good thing about the entire Sunday disaster.

Most of Bunny’s lyrics were raunchy and demented, and likely out-Epsteined the imagination of the late Jeffrey Epstein.

In his vile, obscene “Safaera,” to avoid being censored, Bunny omitted a few of the song’s lyrics about his celebration of exploitative sodomy, fellatio, and anilingus—with misogynistic trashing of his compliant female sexual partners as “hoes.” (Do woke intersectional feminists weigh in on the side of Bunny’s DEI credentials and sexual fluidity, or do they bristle at Bunny’s “objectification” of women, as he reduces them to mere mindless receptacles of violent and toxic masculinity?).

If Bunny’s purpose was to shock America, then he should have sung his full lyrics of “Safaera” in English, ensuring that his first-time listeners were forced to hear and react to his sick adolescent riffs on breasts, bottoms, phalluses, and vaginas.

Bunny had been previously instructed not to repeat his prior performance-art trashing of ICE and to keep his politicking subtle and coded.

Translated, that meant the NFL had greenlighted some of his obscene references as long as they were relegated to a Spanish-speaking audience only and toned down a bit. But he was not overtly to alienate over half of the NFL’s viewership, who not long ago had voted to stop illegal immigration and millions crashing the border.

Bunny mostly complied, albeit with empty platitudes about hate and love, and reducing the American flag to a status similar to that of the other South and Central American states.

Ricky Martin chimed in with his own incoherent Spanish-language harangue about the American rape of paradise in Hawaii (“They want to take my river and my beach too/They want my neighborhood and grandma to leave”). If Martin’s point was the arrival of too many newcomers, then he might have first reflected on the 10-million uninvited illegal aliens who, during the Biden tenure, stormed America’s southern border.

A writer for the now-defunct sports section of the Washington Post had earlier and ludicrously boasted that the mostly forgotten Colin Kaepernick—the Dylan Mulvaney of the NFL—would be the most relevant figure at the 2026 Super Bowl.

Perhaps he was—if the writer meant by “relevant” the narcissistic Kaepernick’s past popularizing of taking-the-knee during the National Anthem. That antic likely reduced NFL viewership by 25 percent in 2016-2017, and turned Sunday afternoons into racial psychodramas with two race-coded National Anthems.

In sum, last Sunday was the same old, same old Super Bowl Satyricon. ✪

▶️ INVASION OF THE SOCIALIST BRAIN SNATCHERS

INVASION OF THE SOCIALIST BRAIN SNATCHERS

jjj

s the United States has poured resources into the public education system, American students are becoming dumber, ignorant of history, oblivious to basic civics, and enthralled with a dangerous ideology: socialism.

In 1779, Thomas Jefferson penned “A Bill for the More General Diffusion of Knowledge,” in which he articulated:

“That the most effectual means of preventing [tyranny] would be, to illuminate, as far as practicable, the minds of the people at large, and more especially to give them knowledge of those facts, which history exhibiteth, that, possessed thereby of the experience of other ages and countries, they may be enabled to know ambition under all its shapes, and prompt to exert their natural powers to defeat its purposes.”

In essence, Jefferson was making the argument that the best way to avoid despotism is to have a widely educated population with a keen awareness of history, civics, and the nature of government. At the time, this was an unprecedented idea.

For eons, only the wealthy and privileged had access to formal education. In places like Europe, with its rigid class system and social hierarchy, the lack of general diffusion of knowledge helped keep the rich high on the hog and the poor downtrodden for generations.

Jefferson, to his credit, envisioned a nation in which all had access to education. Such is why he is generally considered the pioneer of what we now call the public education system.

More than two centuries later, the U.S. public education system has far exceeded Jefferson’s quaint model, which heavily favored local control of public education.

Unfortunately, the public education system, particularly regarding social studies, has been infiltrated by socialist sympathizers who are brainwashing vulnerable kids into believing that socialism is great, moral, fair, and exactly what America needs.

When I was teaching at public high schools in Illinois and South Carolina, this reality hit me like a ton of bricks. In nearly all the schools I worked, it was blatantly obvious that most of my fellow social studies colleagues were much less concerned with teaching students the basic facts about history than they were about teaching that socialism is the answer to all of America’s problems.

While many Americans may think this is anecdotal or an exaggeration, ample evidence exists that demonstrates the scope of socialist brainwashing in today’s public schools.

Late last year, an Axios-Generation Lab poll of U.S. college students found that 67 percent had a positive or neutral association with “socialism” and 34 percent had a positive or somewhat positive view.

Another poll, conducted by Rasmussen Reports and The Heartland Institute, found that nearly 60 percent of likely voters aged 18 to 24 want a democratic socialist to win the White House in 2028. According to the same poll, more than half of Americans aged 18 to 39 said their teachers or professors “held a favorable view of democratic socialism.”

It would be one thing if these teachers were giving their students a mild sense of what socialism is really like: however, as I saw, and as polls show, most young people cannot even define “socialism” correctly.

In 2019, Young America’s Foundation released a poll showing that more than half of students cannot accurately define the term socialism. The poll, which included more than 2,000 students aged 13 to 22, found 27 percent “unsure/don’t know” the meaning of the word “socialism” whereas 10 percent best described socialism as “being social.”

A more recent survey, taken in 2023, shows that less than a third of young Americans properly defined socialism as “government taking control of companies and industries such that the state — not individuals and entrepreneurs — control the economy” whereas 66 percent of young Americans aged 18 to 24 defined socialism as “the government providing more services.”

For far too long, as these statistics show, American students have not received a general diffusion of knowledge, as Thomas Jefferson had hoped so long ago.

With this being the case, it is imperative that states rectify this educational abomination.

At present, one simple remedy to address this problem is for states to update their curriculum standards so that teachers must teach the truth about socialism, whether they like it or not.

That is what Florida legislators did last year when they passed a bill, signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis, to “ensure students in Florida are taught the truth about the evils and dangers of Communism.”

Late last year, the Florida Board of Education approved “new History of Communism standards” to equip “students with a truthful, in-depth understanding of how communist ideologies suppress individual freedoms, abuse power, and inflict widespread suffering.”

Although this policy is not a panacea, it is certainly a step in the right direction. For decades, the public education system has embraced socialism. It is time to reverse this troubling trend. ✪

LEFTISTS INVOKE JESUS TO MUTILATE KIDS & DEFEND RAPISTS

emocrats are allergic to context, which is why they repeatedly offer microwaved interpretations of passages from a book they actually hate.

In a recent appearance with the vaunted theologians of The View, Gov. Andy Beshear posited Jesus’ teachings as the reason for vetoing legislation protecting children from transgender ideology and the body-destroying interventions that flow from it.

▶️ 7 Minutes 17 Seconds

He also argued that “every ICE agent should be withdrawn from every city and every community that they are in,” ostensibly on the basis of biblical principles. The strategy isn’t new; Beshear is just a recent example of the Democrat fallback plan of trotting out a cardboard Jesus as justification for “loving” policies that actually oppose what the real Jesus taught.

While giving fellow Democrats some advice on being authentic, Beshear boasted that “most of the decisions I make are based on that Golden Rule that says we love our neighbor as ourself and that parable of the Good Samaritan that says everyone is our neighbor.” He then explained how his application of these teachings led him to veto “the nastiest piece of anti-LGBTQ legislation that ever came through my state.”

▶️ 33 Seconds

The legislation Beshear referred to isn’t exactly clear. In March 2025, he tried to stop a bill that would allow therapists to tell clients the truth about sex and reality while preventing Medicaid dollars from flowing into the trans-intervention industrial complex. Two years before that, he vetoed a measure that protected women’s restrooms and shielded kids from ideology-driven medical procedures. In 2022, he attempted to block a bill keeping men out of women’s sports.

Of course, Beshear isn’t the only Democrat summoning a caricatured Jesus as the supposed driving force behind leftist causes. Congresswoman LaMonica McIver grilled Immigration and Customs Enforcement Acting Director Todd Lyons on his eternal destiny this week.

“How do you think Judgment Day will work for you with so much blood on your hands?” McIver spat before asking, “Do you think you’re going to hell, Mr. Lyons?”

▶️ 29 Seconds

Now Bible-believing Christians have never considered the subject of Hell off limits (in part because Jesus discussed it — a lot). But Democrats typically treat Hell as having room for only two people — Hitler and Trump — when they’re not calling anyone who believes in it a hateful sadist. So it seems strange to see a Democrat eagerly jump into the discussion of that fiery extremity, at least until viewers realize that this was just another form of leftists pulling fake Jesus out of the closet to condemn stuff they don’t like.

Conveniently for Democrats, fake Jesus is flexible: On the one hand he’s holding Hell over the heads of those enforcing immigration laws — even when federal enforcement of those laws protects vulnerable women and children from rapists and child abusers. On the other hand, he never says boo to anyone about anything when it comes to something like transing the kids.

It’s an age-old distortion of the truth that God is both just and loving, just as Beshear’s use of the Golden Rule and the Good Samaritan to justify blocking measures to protect children from insidious lies and mutilation is also a distortion of the truth.

The Golden Rule, for the record, is actually “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” But neither the Golden Rule nor the command to “love your neighbor as yourself” creates a moral imperative to give people whatever they want carte blanche, as Beshear suggests. Jesus explains the Golden Rule immediately after telling His disciples to ask for good gifts because their Heavenly Father will give them. Regardless of what Democrats think, the context shows that He wasn’t talking about handing out fentanyl and elective mastectomies.

Similarly, the Good Samaritan “bound up … the wounds” of the waylaid Jericho-bound man — he didn’t further mutilate him or offer him MAID. The Samaritan — to the surprise of Jesus’ listeners — acted more righteously than the drive-by priest and the Levite, but the point of the story isn’t his immigration status or LGBT rights or whether all 8 billion “neighbors” should have automatic rights to enter the U.S. whenever they please. Rather, the parable of the Good Samaritan is Jesus’ answer to a self-righteous, eternal-life-seeking lawyer (think Old Testament law) who wanted “to justify himself.”

The context matters, and Democrats seem quite allergic to context, which is why they repeatedly offer manipulative, microwaved interpretations of passages from a book they actually hate. For their own eternal spiritual well-being (and the spiritual well-being of the people they’re lying to), now would be a good time to stop. ✪

DON SURBER: THE WOMAN THE GLOBALISTS FEAR MOST

xxxx

suppose the Super Bowl was nice but it could have been better with Bugs Bunny instead of Bad Bunny. Olympics Italian style is going so well that I won’t attribute Lindsey Vonn crash to Trumpenfreude even though it was.

I have no idea what the politics of Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin are. I don’t want to know. All I care to know is the duo will play Sweden for the gold medal in mixed doubles curling after defeating Italy, the reigning champion. USA! USA! USA!

The intensity of curling crews is overwhelming. Don’t sweep their athleticism under the Zamboni.

But the real big news on Sunday was the election in Japan. PM Sanae Takaichi is working at the speed of Trump. Right after she took office, she called for a snap election, which was held 110 days into her term.

Maybe she should anchor Japan’s curling team because her party swept the election. She woke up Monday morning with a veto-proof majority in their parliament. This was the biggest blowout in 71 years. You say you’ll change the constitution? She can now.

Takaichi is a pro-growth nationalist who is poised to ditch provisions that restrict Japan’s military. MacArthur wrote Japan’s constitution, which served its purpose in an era when the United States was the free world’s Uncle Sam. That era’s gone.

Her plan is to bolster Japan’s military, cut taxes and kick the Muslims out. The New York Times had difficulty wrapping its ideology around another First Female PM.

In October, the NYT reported:

Ms. Takaichi, 64, who grew up near the ancient Japanese capital of Nara, defies easy labels. She once spoke bluntly about the challenges of working in politics as a woman in Japan, yet she is now the leader of the traditionalist, male-dominated Liberal Democratic Party. She has expressed concern about Japan’s reliance on the United States, but has also said she hopes to work closely with President Trump. She is an amateur drummer who idolizes bands like Iron Maiden and Deep Purple, yet she also wears blue suits to pay homage to her other hero, the former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher.

Ms. Takaichi, a protégée of Shinzo Abe, Japan’s longest-serving prime minister, who was assassinated in 2022, is expected to move Japan farther to the right, responding to a recent populist wave that bears some similarities to Mr. Trump’s MAGA movement. She has embraced hawkish policies on China; pushed the message that “Japan is back”; played down Japan’s atrocities during World War II; and promised to more strictly regulate immigration and tourism.

“She wants to make Japan strong and prosperous for the people of Japan and for the world,” said Yoshiko Sakurai, a prominent journalist and activist who has supported Ms. Takaichi. “She is open to the outside world. But she also understands that we have to be really good Japanese. We have to know our own culture, traditions, philosophy and history.”

The prime minister showed her media savvy as the NYT report said, “Ms. Takaichi declined, through a representative, to be interviewed for this article.”

Donald Trump, please note. The story did say this about her and Abe. She came from a two-income family:

During her early years in Parliament, she forged an enduring alliance with Mr. Abe, a lawmaker from an elite family with a nationalistic worldview. The two found common ground on issues like increasing military spending and adding a more patriotic tone to history textbooks.

When Mr. Abe was elected to his first stint as prime minister in 2006, he appointed Ms. Takaichi to his cabinet, making her one of the most visible women in Japanese politics. He reappointed her in 2012, at the beginning of his second term, which lasted eight years. She became a fierce defender of his policies, including efforts to revise Japan’s Constitution to unfetter its military after decades of postwar pacifism, and his economic program, which emphasized cheap cash and government stimulus efforts.

Ms. Takaichi tried to persuade Mr. Abe to run again in 2021, but he declined. When she entered the race, he threw his support behind her. “Ms. Takaichi is the true star of the conservatives,” Mr. Abe said at the time. She lost that race and fell short in another bid in 2024.

She proved herself worthy over the course of three decades in the parliament and Abe’s cabinet. Now she is the prime minister Japan needs, which is nice, but she is also the Japanese prime minister that America needs—someone who can stand on her own two feet. That is why Trump had her address our military.

She is part of a new group of world leaders who are not dependents but actual allies because they can and will defend themselves. They no longer rely on us. As Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said recently:

Anyone who thinks that America can be a long-term strategic anchor when thinking about Hungary’s future is mistaken. Not because America is bad, it has many admirable qualities. Not because it is insignificant, there is nothing more significant than America. But because the American political system is such that in four years everything can be turned upside down. And if we align ourselves in one direction, they can easily turn back, while we cannot, because we become trapped.

The globalists are rooting for Democrats while nationalists root for Trump and any Trump-approved politician. The ballot box is the battleground—for now. As we are seeing in Minnesota, things get ugly when globalists lose. That is why nationalists must control the military in order to succeed.

America has no use for weak allies who on top of not bothering to protect themselves constantly snipe at us and our president.

Globalists fear Japan’s prime minister not because she is the First Female Leader of the Japs but because she represents a nationalist movement in the West that will not disappear magically on January 20, 2029, when Trump’s presidency ends.

The rejection of the Eurocrats began in the former Soviet states who had seen this movie before. Meloni and others have since joined the rebellion against the DC-style authoritarianism run by unelected tinhorn tyrants like Ursula von der Leyen.

British PM Keir Starmer’s coming departure from 10 Downing Street shows the people have had it with globalism.

Ironically, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood. a Muslim, is the odds-on successor according to the bookies. She has all the markings of becoming another Mark Carney, who replaced Justin Trudeau. Carney is Castreau on crack as he has spurned the USA in favor of Red China because he wants to turn Canada into Eskimo Cuba.

But such setbacks serve as a warning to other people. In a fair election, people vote against globalism time and time again because they want the freedom only a homeland can provide—a homeland not overrun by Muslims or Mexicans.

Japan’s patriots won on Sunday, unlike New England’s. ✪

▶️ IS CANADA HARVESTING ORGANS FROM LIVE PATIENTS?

IS CANADA HARVESTING ORGANS FROM LIVE PATIENTS?

jjj

anada doesn’t seem concerned about organ-harvesting from live patients any more than it is about euthanasia. Apparently, the law in New Brunswick, Canada, pertaining to organ donations reads:

The Chief Coroner may allow the removal of organs or tissue after the death of a person notwithstanding that death has not yet occurred if, (a) in the opinion of a physician the death of the person is imminent by reason of injury or disease … along with a couple of other requirements. “Notwithstanding that death has not yet occurred?”

What kind of verbiage is that?

Translated from the leftist legalese claptrap this means, “even if the person is still alive.” Has Canada gotten so cozy with communist China that it is replicating what the CCP does to the Uyghurs and members of Falun Gong? Forced organ “harvesting” by governments is kind of a big deal … or at least it should be.

I myself have been diagnosed with a terminal disease, though my expected demise may not technically be “imminent.” I think I’m as generous as the next guy, but all things considered I’d like to keep my heart, lungs, liver, skin, et al., until I have truly and unquestionably checked out. This doesn’t seem like too much to ask.

When we start down the road of cheapening life, a path on which we sadly embarked long ago, it gets continually easier and less controversial to do so over time. Legalize abortion. Then call it “women’s health care.” Then legalize it up to the moment of birth.

And maybe well after birth, via ever-expanding Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID) programs like Canada’s. MAID is no longer limited to those whose death is imminent. Anyone in long-term pain, physically and mentally, may be eligible to have their lives snuffed out.

“Black Horse,” a Canadian commentator & contributor, told BlazeTV that, in 2024, “over 16,000 people were killed via MAID” and notes that it is a “radically expanding program.” And a rapidly expanding one.

I wonder how many “undocumented migrants” have been exterminated via MAID? Unfettered abortion of native Canadian and American kids, and the rapidly expanding practice of helping sick and stressed-out citizens die, juxtaposed against the importation of many millions of illegal aliens might almost make one think that the Great Replacement Theory is more than a theory.

That’s because, like most recent “conspiracy theories,” it is far more fact than fiction. When espousing a pro-life message can get one threatened with criminal charges but assisting someone in dying– or getting a jump on harvesting their organs– is afforded legal protection … the prognosis for that society is terminal. And its death may well be imminent. ✪

▶️ THE FDA REFUSES MODERNA’S NEW mRNA FLU VAX APPLICATION

THE FDA REFUSES MODERNA’S NEW mRNA FLU VAX APPLICATION

ddd

he U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) refused to consider Moderna’s latest application for a new flu vaccine using mRNA technology, the company announced Tuesday, a decision that could delay the introduction of a shot designed to offer stronger protection for older adults.

Moderna said it received what’s known as a “refusal-to-file” (RTF) letter from the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), citing the lack of an “adequate and well-controlled” study with a comparator arm that “does not reflect the best-available standard of care.”

Stéphane Bancel, chief executive officer of Moderna, said the FDA’s decision did not “identify any safety or efficacy concerns with our product” and “does not further our shared goal of enhancing America’s leadership in developing innovative medicines.” Bancel said in the statement:

“It should not be controversial to conduct a comprehensive review of a flu vaccine submission that uses an FDA-approved vaccine as a comparator in a study that was discussed and agreed on with CBER prior to starting. We look forward to engaging with CBER to understand the path forward as quickly as possible so that America’s seniors, and those with underlying conditions, continue to have access to American-made innovations.”

Andrew Nixon, a spokesperson for the Department of Health and Human Services, defended the FDA’s decision to reject Moderna’s application. Nixon said in a statement Wednesday:

“The FDA rejected Moderna’s application for filing because the company refused to follow very clear FDA guidance from 2024 to test its product in a clinical trial against a CDC-recommended flu vaccine to compare safety and efficacy. Moderna exposed participants age 65 and over to increased risk of severe illness by giving them a substandard of care against the recommendation of FDA scientists.”

He added, “The most protective flu shots for seniors are a subset of high dose flu shots recommended by the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, which would have served as the proper control in this study.”

The rare decision from the FDA comes amid increased scrutiny over vaccine approvals under Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has criticized mRNA vaccines and rolled back certain COVID-19 shot recommendations over the past year.

Kennedy previously removed members of the Federal Government’s vaccine advisory panel and appointed new members, and moved to cancel $500 million in mRNA vaccine contracts.

The FDA authorized COVID-19 vaccines for the fall for high-risk groups only. Last May, Kennedy announced the vaccines would be removed from the CDC’s routine immunization schedule for healthy children and pregnant women.

According to Moderna, the refusal-to-file decision was based on the company’s choice of comparator in its Phase 3 trial; a licensed standard-dose seasonal flu vaccine, which the FDA said did not reflect the “best-available standard of care.”

Moderna said the decision contradicts prior written communications from the FDA, including 2024 guidance stating a standard-dose comparator would be acceptable, though a higher-dose vaccine was recommended for participants over 65.

Moderna said the FDA “did not raise any objections or clinical hold comments about the adequacy of the Phase 3 trial after the submission of the protocol in April 2024 or at any time before the initiation of the study in September 2024.”

In August 2025, following completion of the Phase 3 efficacy trial, Moderna said it held a pre-submission meeting with CBER, which requested that supportive analyses on the comparator be included in the submission and indicated the data would be a “significant issue during review of your BLA.”

Moderna said it provided the additional analyses requested by CBER in its submission, noting that “at no time in the pre-submission written feedback or meeting did CBER indicate that it would refuse to review the file.”

The company requested a Type A meeting with CBER to understand the basis for the RTF letter, adding that regulatory reviews are continuing in the European Union, Canada and Australia. ✪

▶️ WHEN INSTITUTIONS LOSE THEIR MORAL COMPASS

WHEN INSTITUTIONS LOSE THEIR MORAL COMPASS

mmm

he Pentagon’s recent warning to Scouting America; cut certain diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives or risk losing federal support — has placed the organization in an unenviable position. Comply, and it alienates one constituency. Refuse, and it risks funding at a time when membership and finances are already under strain.

However, the real issue exposed by Scouting America’s dilemma is much older and far larger than any single policy dispute.

When institutions responsible for forming young people allow their core convictions to shift with cultural or political pressure, they lose moral authority; and young people lose trust. Character formation requires moral steadiness, not constant reinvention.

For most of its history, Scouting was not primarily a political institution. It was a formative one. Its purpose was widely understood: to help boys grow into capable, principled men; marked by responsibility, courage, service and self-discipline. While disagreements existed at the margins, the core mission was stable enough to survive changes in administrations, cultural moods and public opinion. That stability has eroded.

Over the past decade, Scouting America has repeatedly revised its policies to align with prevailing cultural trends; on leadership standards, program structure, and even how young people are encouraged to understand their own identities. Each shift was presented as necessary for relevance or inclusion. Taken together, however, they have left the organization vulnerable to precisely the moment it now faces: a reversal of political winds demanding yet another adjustment.

The problem is not adaptation itself. The problem is what happens to character formation when moral standards appear negotiable.

You cannot build character in young people if you teach them; explicitly or implicitly, that core convictions ebb and flow based on external pressure. Character requires firm moral grounding. Roots set in something solid. When institutions model uncertainty about first principles, they undermine the very formation they claim to offer.

Institutions built primarily on adaptability rarely age well. When values are tethered too tightly to the priorities of a particular moment, they become brittle. The moment shifts, and the institution must either reverse itself or defend positions it adopted only recently. Either way, credibility erodes.

Young people notice this far more than adults often realize. Instinctively, perhaps, they understand that building one’s house on the sand is not a wise idea. The wise man builds his house on the rock. Formation depends on steadiness — on leaders and institutions that demonstrate coherence over time.

As the CEO of Trail Life USA, a boy-focused scouting organization, I have seen firsthand how acutely boys sense whether the adults and institutions around them actually believe what they say. When standards change every few years; when moral guidance feels provisional, negotiable or externally imposed, it undermines trust. Formation requires more than good intentions; it requires consistency.

This helps explain why many young men today are gravitating toward older & more traditional sources of meaning: church, classic literature, history, craftsmanship, ritual and communities that emphasize continuity rather than constant reinvention. They are not searching for novelty. They are searching for something solid; something which does not need to be updated every election cycle.

This does not mean rejecting all change or ignoring social realities. But it does mean acknowledging a basic truth: you cannot teach responsibility while modeling uncertainty about first principles. You cannot cultivate conviction while signaling that beliefs are temporary accommodations.

The same is true when it comes to discussions about sex and difference. Regardless of political or cultural trends, boys and girls are not interchangeable in development, perception or temperament. These differences are observable, measurable and consistent across cultures. Treating them as irrelevant — or purely constructed — does not create freedom; it creates confusion.

I often say that the “Y matters,” because there is a “why” behind that Y chromosome. That was true yesterday. It remains true today. And it will still be true tomorrow. Administrations come and go. Cultural moods ebb and wane. However, the truth does not shift with the tides.

Boys need challenges. They need purpose. And if they are going to grow into dependable men of conviction, they need adults and institutions willing to plant their flag on enduring truths — and stay rooted even when the winds change.

Scouting America’s current predicament is more than a funding dispute. It is the predictable outcome of an organization that gradually outsourced its moral compass to cultural consensus — and now finds that consensus divided.

The lesson is not limited to Scouting. Any institution tasked with forming the next generation should take note. When values shift with the seasons, young people do not become more open-minded; they become unmoored. When leadership lacks conviction, the void does not remain empty — it gets filled by cynicism, confusion or apathy.

That is not good for boys. It is not good for institutions meant to serve them. And it is not good for a society that depends on adults who know what they stand for — and why. ✪

ucker Carlson and Candace Owens have gone to the dark side. Disturbingly, their transition seems to have been planned so carefully that they were able to convince their fans not only to follow, but to run full speed ahead into the pit of Hell.

Careers which began as critiques of establishment politics have devolved into outlandish conspiracy theories that blend New Age spirituality, esoteric metaphysics, and elaborate claims about the hidden masters of reality and society.

Coincidentally, both podcasters have fixated on giants lately; those biblical beings that have morphed into symbols of hidden knowledge and elite cover-ups, almost as if scripted from the same fringe playbook. Both have also been discussing out-of-body experiences (OBEs), with Tucker focusing on psychic spies and Candace discussing astral projection (she claims both she and Charlie Kirk practiced astral projection, which is best described as the non-physical “self” traveling independently—and exploring the physical world as well as other dimensions on the astral plane.)

Carlson’s recent podcast with AJ Gentile was titled, “Giants, Pyramids, the CIA’s Psychic Spies and The Ancient Civilizations More Advanced Than Ours.” And of course, the underlying theme was government suppression of everything. This too is reflected in Candace’s world, where “the Fed” is to blame for every problem she can’t pin on the Jews. Thanks to Candace, “the Fed” has become the contemporary iteration of “The Man”—the archetypal embodiment of oppressive authority that the countercultural movements of the 1960s rallied against.

She’s also begun targeting Erika’s family, voicing doubts about whether Erika was truly accompanying her frail, hospitalized mother for medical treatment around the time of Charlie Kirk’s death (with the longstanding implication that she or TPUSA were somehow complicit in Charlie’s murder). The key takeaway here is that Candace’s so-called investigations into Erika’s family have led her millions of followers to begin digitally stalking a grieving widow and her family—after her husband was the victim of the most watched assassination in history.

One TikToker, after revealing research done on Erika’s family, writes, “Tracing Erika Kirk’s family line—impossible! Why? What is the family hiding?” This even though Candace Owens hypocritically shields her own family’s privacy, coincidentally concealing her mother’s name—which doesn’t even appear on Wikipedia. To be clear, I could not care less who her mother is, but to publicly urge people to dig up everything they can on someone else’s mother is the height of duplicity.

Meanwhile, Owens claims intimate, otherworldly bonds with Charlie Kirk, insisting they discussed his “third eye” abilities and portraying him as a “time traveler” who has come back from the dead to communicate with her in her dreams. She tells us that Charlie was marked as gifted from his youth, with adults trying to drug him, but his mother wouldn’t let them. He eventually attended a secret “X-Men school” which of course links back to shadowy CIA programs—because it makes such a great story. It also seems to be earning her a good chunk of money as her views keep climbing. (Her channel currently has 5.78M subscribers.)

Last month she received a cease and desist letter from TPUSA, mocked it as “lawfare,” and ramped up the attacks. She seems hellbent on destroying Charlie Kirk’s legacy, Turning Point USA, Erika Kirk, and everyone associated with her. The trouble is, her fantasy narratives can escalate into real-world aggression toward Erika Kirk, members of her family, and Turning Point USA staff. Is there no adult in the room that can stop this before it leads to tragedy?

Tucker Goes Full Pizzagate & Nephilim

Tucker Carlson’s current trajectory is also particularly alarming. Once a beloved host on Fox News Channel known for skewering liberal hypocrites, he’s now channeling David Icke. Lately he’s been covering remote viewing, government suppression of free energy, and questioning the moon landing (like Candace). It’s like he’s recycling Art Bell’s Coast-to-Coast shows from the 1990s.

He’s also resurrected Pizzagate; the controversy regarding elite child-trafficking rings centered around coded messages like “pizza.” In a recent interview with self-proclaimed independent researcher Ian Carroll, Carlson declared that the Epstein file dumps make Pizzagate “basically real,” linking it to a “demonic global crime network” involving ritualistic abuse.

And there may be some truth in that—humans have been trying to cover up evil since Cain killed Abel. But I don’t think we need to start reviving all the QAnon theories that have been a festering wound on the outskirts of conservative circles. Carlson has scratched the scab off that wound, so I expect he’ll soon “confirm” powerful elites, Hollywood celebrities, and politicians are kidnapping, torturing, and killing children and infants to harvest adrenochrome from their blood as a youth serum, drug, or elixir of life.

Carlson (also like Candace) erodes the line between journalism and delusion: He’ll drop a truth-bomb everyone nods at so listeners feel they can trust him on everything else. They may be thinking “maybe Pizzagate is real” then transition to “Israel is the real enemy” without noticing the slide.

During the Doha Forum in Qatar in December 2025, Carlson announced his intention to purchase a home there, praising the city’s cleanliness and safety while chirping like an impetuous child, “I’m an American and a free man, and I’ll be wherever I want to be.” This was likely in response to critics who accused him of being a tool of the Qatari Government.

In recent episodes of his podcast, he’s ventured to the Middle East yet again, traveling to Qatar and Jordan with his production team to conduct interviews that seem intent on overturning Americans conventional views of Islam (Tucker says good) and Israel (Tucker says bad).

Carlson’s podcast titles are meant to draw clicks: “The Shocking Reality of the Treatment of Christians in the Holy Land by US-Funded Israel.” These portrayals have sparked fierce backlash from critics who accuse Carlson of grossly misleading audiences by whitewashing Qatar’s suppression of Christian expression—including outright bans on public crosses, evangelism, and proselytizing (punishable by years in prison). And in case you happen to have a small pamphlet from the Gospel Tract Society in your pocket, you’ll go to prison for two years and pay $2,700. Apostasy laws carry the death penalty.

In Jordan, he hosted interviews with prominent Christians, aggressively promoting a narrative of idyllic Christian-Muslim harmony in the Kingdom and Palestine. He then sharply contrasted this with what he and his guests described as outright hostile and repressive treatment of Christians by Israel in Jerusalem and the West Bank. A brilliant send-up of this was given by comedian Ami Kozak, who plays a Christian Arab priest replying to Carlson: “If you want to talk about violence against Christians … you’ve got Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Syria … Nigeria!”

Meanwhile, Carlson has drawn sharp criticism for labeling anti-Muslim sentiment in the U.S. as nothing more than an “Israeli government psyop” meant to manipulate American perceptions.

Just to elucidate—we’re being lectured about Islam and Israel by a guy that claimed to have been attacked by a demon in his bedroom: waking with bloody claw marks from an unseen entity that “mauled” him in bed, leaving scars he still bears. And that encounter probably sparked Carlson’s “You See Demons?” interview with Mike Cernovich—who gave a profanity-laced recounting of his demonic visions from drinking a hallucinatory drink called ayahuasca.

Carlson’s tales of giants and obsession with demons echo Owens’s time-traveling X-Men fantasies, both pretending to reveal secret knowledge to their viewers. Yet, this isn’t harmless entertainment—it’s fostering division, hate, and a rejection of reality. As their audiences grow or radicalize, one wonders: Have they truly crossed to the “dark side?” Is this the inevitable culmination of unchecked sensationalism?

Either way, the madness is real, and it’s spreading. ✪
