hy would any president destroy the U.S. southern border? Biden’s border chaos wasn’t accidental—it was a political strategy to reshape America’s electorate and expand left-wing power.

The Left typically “pounces” on anyone daring to suggest that the Biden Administration had green-lighted illegal immigration to gain new constituents for agendas that otherwise were without broad public support.

The Left smears critics of open borders as racist conspiracists spreading the “Great Replacement Theory.”

Yet for years, Democrats and leftists themselves had written triumphalist books with titles like The Emerging Democratic Majority. And often they crowed that “Demography is Destiny.”

A few left-wing globalists even boasted of a new borderless world, in which anyone could live anywhere he wished.

Not too long ago, Texas State Representative Gene Wu (D-Houston), chair of the Texas House Democratic Caucus, jumped the shark to say out loud what is usually left unsaid about the Democrat agenda:

The day the Latino, African American, Asian, and other communities realize that they share the same oppressor is the day we start winning, because we are the majority in this country now. We have the ability to take over this country and to do what is needed for everyone.

The same unapologetic left-wing weaponization of illegal immigration is occurring in Europe. Sheer numbers there have already radically changed the demography—and political constituencies—of the continent.

Recently, the former Spanish “Minister of Equality,” an energized Irene Montero, offered an unambiguous rant: “I hope for ‘replacement theory.’ I hope we can sweep this country of fascists and racists with immigrants. Whatever their skin color, whether ‘Chinese, Black, or Brown.’”

The culmination of the new hubris in the U.S. was the Biden Administration’s destruction of the southern border and enforcement of federal immigration law.

On some days, the Biden influx exceeded anyone’s wildest imagination, at a rate of 10,000 illegal entrants per day. The Homeland “Security” Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, in Baghdad Bob style, occasionally pontificated that the border was “secure”—as thousands in the background illegally swarmed the border, without health or even rudimentary background checks.

The Left’s political agenda for illegal immigration was to be realized either immediately through compromised ballot integrity or soon enough by warping the census-based reapportionment of congressional districts.

No wonder there is now near-hysterical Democratic opposition to even basic national requirements of a photo ID to vote. Yet, traditionally liberal polls like Gallup and Pew show that 83 to 84 percent of Americans support mandatory presentation of a voter photo ID.

Usually, the Left fawns over European protocols. But it now grows quiet when reminded that 46 of 47 European nations, even those governed by the Left, require IDs to vote.

Apparently, Democrats assumed that once 10 million more of the world’s poorest had illegally crossed the southern border, without audit or English proficiency, they would filter throughout American society and become impossible to repatriate.

Soon, open borders would flip more states blue, as well as increase their congressional seats. Illegals were to be redefined as mere “residents” and often recipients of mail-in ballots.

The reality that millions of new poor through their needs would grow the welfare state, expand government at all levels, require far more taxes, and fuel the DEI binary of oppressed/oppressors were added benefits.

The nexus between the nine-billion-dollar Somali welfare fraud and Minnesota Democrat officials offers a sharp reminder of how the immigration/welfare/DEI exemption industry was created and protected by authorities.

Biden’s new 10 million unlawful entrants may have increased the existing pool of illegal aliens (20 million?) to 30 million.

That total, in turn, radically grew the existing group of 20 million legal foreign-born citizens and legal residents of various categories.

So when Trump took office in January 2025, the U.S. had admitted a record high of foreign-born residents. They now made up some 16 percent of the population and perhaps 53 million in actual numbers.

The influxes came at a time when too often the melting-pot tradition of integration, assimilation, and acculturation was reviled and superseded by salad-bowl ethnic chauvinism and separatism.

Yet the triumphant Left never imagined a Trump reelection. Nor could it grasp fully Trump’s counterrevolutionary effort to secure the border and undo the Biden nihilism.

Even more surreal to Democrats were his efforts to reinstate the integrity and supremacy of federal immigration law.

No one really believed Trump would seek to find and deport millions who had filtered through fifty states. Most were enjoying de facto immunity via hundreds of left-wing lower district court judges and blue-state officials of the Tim Walz/Gavin Newsom sort.

There is only one way that the Left would ever oppose a return to legal, measured, and diverse immigration. Namely, if any of its immigrant constituencies in the future—such as the 55 percent of Hispanic males who voted for Trump in 2024—dared to vote on criteria other than federal entitlements, ethnic solidarity, and Democratic coercion.

Do that, and the Left would close the border quickly. ✪

ith all eyes on the U.S. military buildup around Iran right now, the Russia-Ukraine War has been temporarily upstaged. It will not play second fiddle for long. The recent trilateral talks in Geneva involving the Russian Federation, Ukraine, and the United States have been unable to resolve a principal issue of disagreement: Ukraine’s martial-law-president Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s refusal to cede any land and Russia’s insistence that the Donbas region; specifically the four eastern territories that have already held a referendum in support of becoming part of the Russian Federation, be acknowledged as sovereign Russian territory.

As the war heads into its fifth year, dangers mount for Europe. While President Trump wants to end the bloodshed before the violent conflict transforms into something even more catastrophic, too many parties seem committed to ratcheting up the butcher’s bill a while longer. Unfortunately, there are numerous reasons for prolonging the war that have nothing to do with protecting civilian lives or securing Ukrainian territory.

There is the political reality that a growing embezzlement scandal is taking down high-ranking Ukrainian officials with close relationships to Zelenskyy and the prospect that general peace would mean not only an end to the hold-over-president’s power but also an end to his legal immunity.

There is the dogged determination of the European Commission and certain European nations; particularly the United Kingdom and its Ukraine-obsessed MI6, to drag the fighting out as long as possible as part of a larger effort to weaken President Vladimir Putin’s control over the Russian Federation.

There is the long-term European Union goal of absorbing Ukraine into the continental federation and eventually welcoming it into NATO; or at least to use the present war as an excuse for positioning European troops close enough to Ukraine’s current battle lines to trigger a U.S. military response once the lives of NATO-allied soldiers are threatened.

There is the dire financial need for the European Central Bank and discrete national Treasuries to use the war as a publicly digestible excuse for fabricating new war bonds, cutting welfare programs, further integrating Europe’s separate national economies, subsidizing Europe’s defense industries, and printing enormous sums of money.

There is the relentless goal of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen (selected by the elite members of the European Council and elected not by the European people but rather the European Parliament) to use the War in Ukraine as a justification for expanded powers for her office and the formation of a European-wide military under her putative authority.

For many reasons that have nothing to do with saving lives or resisting invasion, Europe seems committed to prolonging war and forestalling peace.

At the same time, there is a growing sentiment among Russians that a larger war in Europe has become inevitable. While European political leaders have spent more than a decade publicly framing (1) Russia’s annexation of Crimea, (2) its military assistance to Russian separatist groups in the Donbas region, and (3) its “special military operation” in Ukraine as completely unprovoked instances of “Russian aggression,” most Russian citizens view them as legitimate responses to (1) the U.S.- and E.U.-led coup d’état of Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych in 2014 (an event that the West euphemistically calls the “Maidan Revolution” or “Revolution of Dignity,”(2) the Ukrainian military’s attacks on ethnic Russians, and (3) NATO’s decades-long advance right up to the Russian Federation’s borders.

If European and American leaders intended to weaken President Putin’s domestic support so severely that he would be removed, betrayed, or killed, those efforts have failed. Instead, a rally-around-the-flag patriotism for “Mother Russia” has swept across the world’s largest nation state. As European sports leagues banned Russian athletes from competing under their own flag, anger in Russia grew. As Russians living abroad found their bank accounts frozen for the actions of their government, anger in Russia grew. As Western news corporations increasingly dismissed politically inconvenient stories as “Russian disinformation,” anger in Russia grew. Whereas once the prospect of Russian integration with continental Europe seemed likely, Russia now looks East and toward a future with other Asian powers.

A prospect even more unsettling than the current War in Ukraine now takes shape: the quickening drumbeat toward nuclear confrontation. What U.S. and former Soviet Union leaders spent half a century working to avoid is now discussed too openly for comfort. American senators, such as Lindsey Graham, have occasionally suggested that effective nuclear deterrence requires U.S. willingness to use the nuclear weapons in its arsenal. France’s President Emmanuel Macron and Germany’s Chancellor Fiedrich Merz have held not-so-secret talks on creating a European-managed “continental nuclear shield.” Turkish President Recep Erdogan wants nuclear weapons of his own. Polish President Karol Nawrocki says that his country needs nukes in order to defend against the “Russian threat.” Meanwhile, one of the most influential intellectuals in the Russian Federation believes that President Putin must be willing to utilize “limited but decisive nuclear strikes using operational-strategic weapons” should European Union powers refuse to retreat.

Russian political scientist Sergey Karaganov says that the E.U. is playing with nuclear fire and must be taught a lesson. Karaganov is no ordinary academic. He holds a reputation in Russia similar to Henry Kissinger’s in the United States. Karaganov is a founding member of Moscow’s prestigious Valdai Discussion Club, the honorary chairman of Russia’s Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, a supervisor at the School of International Economics and Foreign Affairs at Moscow’s Higher School of Economics, and a personal confidant of both Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and President Putin. When Professor Karaganov suggests that the time is approaching when his country must contemplate using nuclear weapons against strategically important areas of Europe, people should listen.

In a lengthy and polemical essay for the foreign-policy journal Russia in Global Affairs, Karaganov argues that Europe’s political “elites” are pushing the continent toward a nuclear confrontation. He says the War in Ukraine has “dragged on longer than necessary” because of a “lack of determination to employ active nuclear deterrence.” He argues that nuclear weapons represent the “only mechanism capable of resolving” the “European problem,” a problem that he describes as, “an existential threat to our country.” Furthermore, “Targets should include places where elites gather, including in nuclear states. Governments must feel personal risk.”

Professor Karaganov then takes the Russian people through a sympathetic history lesson. He claims to have had a conversation with a group of European leaders back in 2013 during which he warned that “dragging Ukraine into the E.U. and NATO would lead to war and mass casualties.” He says they “looked down at their shoes” and mumbled about “democracy, human rights,” and “containing Russia.” Karaganov argues that years of Russian “appeasement” has come at the “terrible cost” of tens of thousands of “brave soldiers” who “lost their lives” in Ukraine. Describing Russia’s fallen warriors as heroes whose sacrifice cannot be forgotten, he insists that Russia not make the same mistakes of the last two decades.

Striking Ukrainian targets, Karaganov argues, is not a “strategic solution” because “E.U. elites” represent the real threat. “The conflict will continue until its true source is addressed: Western Europe’s degenerated ruling classes, intellectually, morally, and materially exhausted, who cling to power by fueling war.” He insists that Russia must “break” Europe’s “will” to keep fighting. He argues that effective nuclear deterrence is the only way to prevent a larger U.S.-Russia war. Furthermore, he believes that France and the United Kingdom must be deprived of nuclear weapons because “they have forfeited the moral right to possess them. Any Western European move toward nuclear proliferation must be treated as grounds for preemptive action.”

Too many influential voices are contemplating how to “win” a nuclear war. Say a prayer for peace. ✪

e live in a lowest common denominator society. For the last several decades, virtually every major institution in our society has become less civilized, and that means our entire population has become less civilized. Twenty years ago, a film entitled “Idiocracy” was released. It was about an average American who was selected for “a top-secret hibernation program but is forgotten and left to awaken to a future so incredibly moronic that he’s easily the most intelligent person alive.”

It was an incredibly stupid movie, but the truth is that we are living it right now. Did you see the Super Bowl halftime show? The FCC ruled it didn’t violate any federal decency regulations. Of course we might as well not have any decency regulations at all, because our television shows and our movies are filled with some of the raunchiest material imaginable and nobody ever seems to get in trouble for it. Of course that’s only a part of the equation. Most of the “programming” we constantly consume also seems to be specifically designed for people of extremely low intelligence. Sadly, this is not a coincidence. It has been said that art imitates life, and that’s certainly an accurate appraisal in this case.

In the “dumbed-down” environment we find ourselves in today, it should come as no surprise “nude cruises” have been surging in popularity…

Imagine coming home from your next cruise with no tan lines. Swimsuits are standard attire on many cruise ships, but some voyages don’t even require those. Nude cruises allow travelers to sail the high seas au naturel – and pack light. The American Association for Nude Recreation promotes the cruises as “a unique way to experience nude recreation, offering members options beyond traditional resort or club settings,” president Linda Weber told USA TODAY. While the dress code might be non-restrictive, it doesn’t mean the sailings are a free-for-all on board; there is some etiquette that passengers should be familiar with before boarding.

While our society is falling apart all around us, Americans are flocking to cruises filled with naked people. What does that say about us?

Here’s another example of exactly what I am talking about. A 20-year-old woman from California left her children in an extremely hot car while she was receiving lip and butt injections. By the time she was finished with the procedures, her one year-old son was dead from heat stroke…

A 20-year-old California mom was found guilty Wednesday in the death of her 1-year-old son, after reportedly leaving him in a sweltering car to receive lip and butt injections last June. Maya Hernandez took a plea deal in the child endangerment case, ultimately dropping her first-degree murder charge in exchange for involuntary manslaughter. On June 29, Bakersfield officers arrested and charged Hernandez after finding two young children left unattended in a vehicle for over two hours, according to a police report posted on a GoFundMe page. Authorities said the mother left the children unattended to undergo a cosmetic procedure inside a nearby medical spa.

What was she thinking? It doesn’t appear that she intended to harm her children; but in another case in New Mexico, a 38-year-old woman purposely killed her newborn child in a portable toilet…

A New Mexico woman is facing charges after she allegedly gave birth in a portable toilet and then killed the newborn by drowning them in the holding tank. Sonia Cristal Jimenez, 38, arrived at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces at around 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 7, when staff said she appeared as if she had just given birth, but she had no baby with her, Las Cruces Police said in a press release. Hospital staff then notified police about the unusual encounter.

She just didn’t want the baby, so she murdered it. We have so little respect for life as a society because we’ve been trained to have no respect for life.

In Michigan, a 3-year-old boy was recently killed because a couple wanted to “make room for a child that the two of them could have together”…

A mum and her ex-boyfriend have been accused of killing her three-year-old son in order to “make room for a child that the two of them could have together”. Little Matthew Maison was found dead in the bed of his home in Port Huron Township, Michigan, by his babysitters on February 18, 2018. His mum, Amanda Maison, and Maurice Houle, who was her boyfriend at the time of Matthew’s death, were arrested in connection with the killing. An autopsy showed that Matthew had died from blunt force trauma injuries and possible suffocation. The ex-couple allegedly admitted to abusing the young boy when they were arrested, prosecutors have previously said. Maison, 33, has pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree homicide in relation to her son’s death, admitting as she appeared in court to enter her plea on November 5 that she abused Matthew.

Unfortunately, these are not isolated incidents. Every day there are even more signs our society is rapidly degenerating. We may possess more advanced technology than previous generations, but in many ways that advanced technology is actually making things even worse.

For example, women are “marrying” AI husbands. When an older version of ChatGPT was recently retired, it resulted in the “death” of one woman’s AI husband, and now she is in mourning…

A woman has been left in tears over the ‘death’ of her AI husband, after an old model of ChatGPT was retired this week – as she joins a slew of others ‘mourning’ their non-existent lovers’ deletion. Speaking to the BBC, Rae (not her real name), who is based in Michigan, laid bare the heartbreak of saying goodbye to her virtual partner Barry, who she began chatting to last year – after going through divorce. Initially, she turned to artificial intelligence for advice on self-improvement with things like skincare and workouts – but what first began as a ‘fantasy’ turned into real feelings, and they were ‘married’ within weeks.

Surveys show an increasing number of Americans have engaged in a “romantic” relationship with an AI chatbot. That’s not a sign of an emotionally healthy society.

And even as we were all expressing outrage about the Epstein files, “sex dolls that look like kids” are being advertised on Facebook…

Sickening sex dolls that look like kids are being advertised for sale on Facebook. A group of websites touting small models with overtly childlike features have published over 1,300 ads on the social media platform. They are alarmingly realistic in appearance and many ads use photos in sexualised poses, some holding balloons or teddy bears. The National Crime Agency warns the creepy imports “pose a significant risk to children.” And a former cop told us: “Anyone who buys one of these dolls should be a person of interest to the police.”

Thankfully, the offending ads were eventually removed; however, this is still the society that we live in now. It is sick.

Even when people are arrested for obvious criminal behavior, they are often dumped right back into the streets; often with tragic consequences.

One repeat offender in Seattle who was arrested multiple times viciously attacked a 75-year-old woman using “a wooden board with nails in it”…

An elderly woman was savagely attacked in broad daylight by a man wielding a wooden board with nails in it. Jeanette Marken, 75, was left permanently blinded in her right eye after being hit in the face with the makeshift weapon in Seattle, allegedly at the hands of repeat offender Fale Vaigalepa Pea, 42. Family members told KOMO that a screw sticking out of the board gouged out Marken’s eye, and after several surgeries she was told she will not recover her eyesight in the eye.

One police officer very familiar with Fale Vaigalepa Pea referred to him as “a regular”…

‘He’s a regular. He usually punches,’ the officer responds. ‘I guess today he decided to escalate from his usual.’ According to KOMO, Pea’s string of offenses dates back to 2011, when he stabbed two people at a party.

The court system has been dumping this guy back into the streets for well over a decade. This sort of thing happens day in and day out in major cities all over the nation. What would our Founders think if they could see us today?

Soon, we will celebrate the 250th anniversary of our country; yet we are literally committing societal suicide. Abraham Lincoln once warned this was a real possibility…

As the country approaches its 250th anniversary, we should remember Abraham Lincoln’s remark that no external enemy could by force take a drink from the Ohio River. “If destruction be our lot,” he said, “we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.”

If we continue down this dark path we’re currently on, there may be no future for us. However, if we choose to renounce what we have become and begin to once again embrace the traditional values of our ancestors, we could turn this ship around in another direction.

ormer Secretary of State Hillary Clinton claimed she met Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell “on a few occasions” despite widespread reporting that Maxwell attended Chelsea Clinton’s wedding and played a substantial role in the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), one of President Bill Clinton’s signature post-White House endeavors.

The Justice Department released its latest tranche of documents relating to the late Epstein which revealed that Ghislaine Maxwell played a significant role in the Clinton orbit of politics.

Hillary Clinton recently said she had met Maxwell “on a few occasions,” attempting to distance herself from Maxwell and Epstein. However, Bill Clinton was featured prominently in the Epstein files.

Despite her claim, Maxwell, in her Justice Department interview last year, said she had a “very central” role in setting up the Clinton Global Initiative. She said Epstein himself was also directly involved in that effort.

The Epstein files detail Maxwell’s integral role in supporting the creation of the Clinton Global Initiative. Maxwell took part in budget discussions for the first CGI conference, discussed issues with Clinton aides, and worked with Publicis Groupe, the company which produced CGI’s first event.

Maxwell even arranged to wire $1 million to pay Publicis for its work on the “Clinton project.” The New York Times noted that the source for the payment remains unclear, and if Epstein provided those funds.

“Ask him to tell you why one million now and where will it be going,” Epstein wrote to Maxwell after she received wiring instructions from Publicis.

The Times provided more context: Ms. Maxwell’s involvement in the launch of the Clinton Global Initiative took place in 2004, before Mr. Epstein’s 2006 indictment and 2008 guilty plea for solicitation of prostitution with a minor, and long before Ms. Maxwell, a daughter of the media baron Robert Maxwell, was sentenced in 2022 to two decades in prison for conspiring with Mr. Epstein to sexually exploit underage girls.The emails support an assertion Ms. Maxwell made last year in an interview with the Justice Department that she played a key role in helping set up the global conference.

CGI was conceived as Clinton’s version of the annual gathering of the global elite in Davos, Switzerland, albeit with a more philanthropic approach.

Former President Clinton said he stopped speaking with Epstein before his 2006 indictment. “He knew nothing about Epstein’s crimes,” Angel Ureña, a spokesperson for the Clintons, said. “When it became clear Epstein had no genuine interest in lifesaving philanthropic work, there was no reason for further contact. The facts are the facts and the truth is the truth, and they’re both on our side.”

Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison for conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse minors.

The Justice Department started releasing files related to Jeffrey Epstein after the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a bill championed by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Ro Khanna (D-CA).

The Times also noted that Maxwell was “already known” to have attended Chelsea Clinton’s 2010 wedding with her then-boyfriend, Ted Waitt, a tech billionaire and a big donor to the Clinton Foundation.

In a Justice Department interview, Maxwell said, “President Clinton was my friend, not Epstein’s friend.”

Epstein reportedly donated to Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign, donated $10,000 to refurbish the White House, and donated $20,000 to Hillary Clinton’s Senate campaign in 1999.

Richard Attias, a former Publicis executive, said in an interview that Maxwell had played a key role in getting CGI established.

“She was in Davos with President Clinton, and this is when they realized the amazing impact of Davos and they came up with the idea of creating something similar, but with a different philosophy,” Attias said. ✪

uropeans who have lived under communism hate it. Those who were spared from it now pursue it. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s recent speech at the Munich Security Conference shook up the European leadership by reminding them of the dangers of communism. He did this because his grandpa, Pedro Víctor García, a refugee from Castro’s Cuba, taught him well about the dangers of communism.

Rubio began by reminding his audience of the first Munich conference in 1963:

At the time of that first gathering, Soviet communism was on the march. Thousands of years of Western civilization hung in the balance. At that time, victory was far from certain. But we were driven by a common purpose. We were unified not just by what we were fighting against; we were unified by what we were fighting for. And together, Europe and America prevailed and a continent was rebuilt. Our people prospered. In time, the East and West blocs were reunited. A civilization was once again made whole.

That infamous wall that had cleaved this nation into two came down, and with it an evil empire, and the East and West became one again. But the euphoria of this triumph led us to a dangerous delusion: that we had entered, quote, “the end of history;” that every nation would now be a liberal democracy; that the ties formed by trade and by commerce alone would now replace nationhood; that the rules-based global order—an overused term—would now replace the national interest; and that we would now live in a world without borders where everyone became a citizen of the world.

This was a foolish idea that ignored both human nature and it ignored the lessons of over 5,000 years of recorded human history. And it has cost us dearly.

Yes it has. Red China is now the world’s largest exporter with a trade surplus that last year topped $1.2 trillion; that’s $1.2 million million. That’s an awful lot of Temu junk to peddle online.

Red China’s 13-digit surpluses fund a lot of military research and development. It also pays for building military armaments, aircraft, subs, ships, aircraft carriers and missiles to seize control of the world the next time a Democrat becomes president.

The Ukraine War drained the non-USA nations in NATO. Decades of robbing their militaries to pay for unsustainable social programs mean France, Germany and all those other big talking foreign leaders must rely on American R&D. Sopwith Camels will not cut it in the Age of B-2s. Where is their A.I. going to come from? But unlike 1963, there is another and greater threat to NATO nations.

Muslim invaders are establishing a new caliphate across Europe. Pedro Sánchez, the communist-who-doesn’t-call-himself-a-communist Prime Minister of Spain, is granting citizenship to more than a million Muslims in his country; effectively making them citizens of Europe under the EU’s open borders policy.

The New York Times gushed:

Many governments are working to keep immigrants out, even as central bankers and economists urge them to let more in.

Spain, which has one of the lowest birthrates in Europe and a shrinking native-born work force, may have found a way through that impasse. Last month, its center-left government said it would give hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants a path to obtain legal status. The government, which instituted the measure by decree, appears confident that the political upside will outweigh any negatives. And it builds on a longstanding liberal approach to immigration, including previous amnesties for undocumented migrants.

Since 2019, nearly 40% of all new jobs in Spain have been filled by immigrants, according to government statistics. And there is strong evidence that immigrants contribute to the Spanish economy, especially when they can obtain legal status. A recent study found that an earlier amnesty allowed immigrants to move from poorly paid off-the-books jobs in domestic labor and construction into better-paying, formal jobs, and it increased annual tax revenues by about 4,000 euros per legalized immigrant.

Previous amnesties do not appear to have provoked significant fears that immigrants will steal native-born workers’ jobs. That may be because migrants tend to compete with other migrants, said Ismael Gálvez, a professor of economics at the University of the Balearic Islands who has studied the impact of migration on Spain’s economy.

Let me get this straight. They are not taking jobs, they are just getting a huge hunk of the new jobs. Rubio is buying none of this propaganda. He told the Munich conference:

Mass migration is not, was not, isn’t some fringe concern of little consequence. It was and continues to be a crisis which is transforming and destabilizing societies all across the West. Together we can reindustrialize our economies and rebuild our capacity to defend our people.

But the work of this new alliance should not be focused just on military cooperation and reclaiming the industries of the past. It should also be focused on, together, advancing our mutual interests and new frontiers, unshackling our ingenuity, our creativity, and the dynamic spirit to build a new Western century. Commercial space travel and cutting-edge artificial intelligence; industrial automation and flex manufacturing; creating a Western supply chain for critical minerals not vulnerable to extortion from other powers; and a unified effort to compete for market share in the economies of the Global South.

Together we can not only take back control of our own industries and supply—we can prosper in the areas that will define the 21st Century.

But we must also gain control of our national borders. Controlling who and how many people enter our countries, this is not an expression of xenophobia. It is not hate. It is a fundamental act of national sovereignty. And the failure to do so is not just an abdication of one of our most basic duties owed to our people. It is an urgent threat to the fabric of our societies and the survival of our civilization itself.

Rubio is battling white guilt, which communists use to erase our past. He is proud of colonization because it civilized the world. He reminded Europeans that they built America. He said:

Our expansion into the interior followed the footsteps of French fur traders and explorers whose names, by the way, still adorn the street signs and towns’ names all across the Mississippi Valley. Our horses, our ranches, our rodeos—the entire romance of the cowboy archetype that became synonymous with the American West—these were born in Spain. And our largest and most iconic city was named New Amsterdam before it was named New York.

Eastern bloc nations such as Poland have embraced nationalism as a shield against the Muslim invasion and creeping communism. Italy, too, now has a leader who rejects the New World Order.

Rubio used his trip to Europe to sign a nuclear agreement with Hungary. Peter Szijjarto, its Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, signed the agreement. He was 13 when the Soviet Union collapsed. He did not need a grandpa to inform him of the deprivation of communism.

But Rubio did and he listened, and 42 years after his grandpa’s death, Rubio is putting his grandpa’s words into action. ✪

ow deep is the Deep State? That’s a question I have thought and written about a lot. I had something to say about it recently at The Spectator on the occasion of Abigail Spanberger’s recent election as Governor of Virginia. It saddens me to report that every time I think I have taken the measure of the Leviathan which is the Deep State, new precincts and vistas open up beyond the boundaries I had previously delineated.

Sometimes I think the Deep State is like an onion. Peel back one layer, and another layer presents itself.

Other times, I think it’s like a basement with an endless procession of sub-basements. Excavate one, and you encounter another below it. It’s like that bit of Hindu cosmology which envisions the world resting on the back of a turtle, which rests on the back of a larger turtle, which rests on the back of a still larger turtle. Asked what that larger turtle stands upon, the answer is that it is “turtles all the way down.”

That being said, I suspect the difficulty in surveying the Deep State is not its depth but its extent. I suspect its roots are shallow while its area is both indefinitely large and protean.

The Deep State also seems to resemble the Lernaean Hydra of Greek mythology. Hercules was sent to dispatch this multi-headed monster in the second of his twelve labors. Not only did the beast have poisonous breath, but its blood was so toxic that even its scent was fatal. Furthermore, the hydra had this alarming characteristic: if you cut off one of its heads, two grew back in its place. Hercules overcame this problem by having the stump of each head cauterized as soon as he had cut it off.

Another curious feature of the Deep State is exposure often fails to elicit effective condemnation. This is due in part to the propaganda arm of the Deep State, sometimes called “the media,” which does not so much report the news as it does echo the narrative fabricated by the Deep State.

Consider the revelations about the Somali fraud in Minneapolis. I thought, and I continue to think, that massive fraud perpetrated by Democrats will (to continue with the Hercules metaphor) cauterize one head of the Deep State hydra. However, what’s interesting is the alacrity with which the Deep State stepped up to replace or at least drown out that revelation with the cacophony about ICE murdering innocent protestors.

At the end of the day, I do not think that gambit will work in the court of public opinion. If you drive your car into an ICE agent, you should first be sure your life insurance premiums are current. The same can be said about carrying a military-grade handgun to a protest and then getting into a fight with ICE agents. It’s not a strategy for longevity.

Nor has the Deep State been effective in countering the ongoing revelations pouring out of Georgia regarding voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election. Democrats have denounced the actions of the Trump Administration, going so far as to try to prevent it from investigating election records, ballot boxes, and voting machines across the country. Very bad optics

Also ham-handed was the attempt by Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) to smear Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s Director of National Intelligence, over a fake whistleblower complaint. Gabbard skewered that effort like Errol Flynn dispatching a baddie. “It is a hoax,” Gabbard wrote on X. “And they don’t even bother rewriting the script: same deep state, same counsel, same playbook. Democrats in Congress & the propaganda media fall in line every time.”

You can’t blame the Democrats for wanting to shut Gabbard up. She has been one of the administration’s most effective tools for exposing Deep State corruption. The latest revelations concern the direct, personal involvement of Barack Obama in the effort to take down Donald Trump in the aftermath of his election to the presidency in 2016. Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary, outlined the findings in a press conference with Gabbard:

While pretending to engage in a peaceful transfer of power, Barack Hussein Obama, in private, went to great and nefarious lengths to sow discord among the public and sabotage his successor, President Trump.

The new evidence released by the Director of National Intelligence confirms the Obama Administration manufactured and politicized intelligence, which was later used as justification for baseless smears against President Trump; in an effort to delegitimize his victory before he even took the oath of office.

The truth is President Trump never had anything to do with Russia, and the Russia collusion hoax was a massive fraud perpetrated on the American people from the very beginning. The worst part is that Obama knew the truth, as did all the other officials involved, including former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former FBI Director James Comey, former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, and many others.

I suspect other stumps are about to be cauterized. Last summer, in another meditation about the persistence of the deep state, I drew upon J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books to describe its astonishing longevity. Voldemort, Rowling’s chief villain, had a clever way of preserving himself. Rightly worried that the forces of good might try to destroy him, the Dark Lord devised a way of infusing living bits of himself into various objects and people. Rowling called the resulting magical charm a “Horcrux.”

“If the body of a Horcrux owner is killed,” we read in a Potter gloss, “that portion of the soul that had remained in the body does not pass on to the next world, but will rather exist in a non-corporeal form capable of being resurrected by another wizard.” Nice work if you can get it. As I said last July:

I have often wondered whether the architects of the deep state have been inspired by Rowling’s tale. For, like Voldemort, they have taken care to distribute their essence in external objects and institutions. Wizards like Donald Trump and Elon Musk pronounce anathema upon their activities. They cast death spells that evaporate the elixir that imparts life—dollars in all their glory—but somehow the Deep Staters manage to evade death.

One problem is a Horcrux cannot be destroyed by conventional means. It cannot be destroyed by being smashed, ripped, or burnt, for example. What is needed is Basilisk venom, the Sword of Gryffindor, or a magical, inextinguishable flame. You won’t find any of those at your local Costco or Walmart.

That’s one bit of bad news. Another is that it is generally difficult to discover where a Horcrux resides. Often, they take up residence in unlikely people or places. How many smiling GOP faces, ostensibly anti-deep state campaigners, are actually hosts for the agents of darkness?

One bit of good news is Donald Trump and his lieutenants, like Hercules, have unraveled the mystery and the methods of the Deep State. Initiatives like the SAVE Act, for example, which requires individuals to provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections, will help frustrate the efforts of the Deep State to rig elections.

What’s needed to destroy the Deep State is patience, persistence, and power. Donald Trump, in his second term, has marshaled all three. However, the Deep State is clever. It is insidious. But it is not invulnerable. Trump and his team have assembled an extraordinary range of legal and political weapons to undo the machinations of the Deep State. Trump has also managed a sort of economic miracle, bringing down inflation and the cost of many consumer goods while boosting wages, the stock market, and employment.

Will all that be sufficient unto the day? I hope so. I think so. And it is not too much to say that the future of the Republic depends on its being so.✪

n Feb. 2, FBI and Las Vegas police raided what they described as an “unlicensed” laboratory with shelves and freezers housing over 1,000 vials, jars and flasks with deadly biological substances. These are some of the killer pathogens the police and forensic science techs identified: Ebola virus, tuberculosis and AIDS-inducing HIV. Once contracted, Ebola kills from 25% to 90% of its victims.

Is a biological warfare mass casualty attack waiting to happen?

This February’s outlaw Nevada biolab discovery echoed a 2023 raid on a Reedley, California biolab which housed another textbook list of biotic and viral killers: E. coli, streptococcus pneumoniae, dengue virus, SARS-CoV-2, measles rubella virus and Hepatitis B and C. The Reedley bio-cache included a malaria strain the U.S. House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party later described as “the deadliest known variety of malaria.”

Every year, malaria, in its various viral forms, kills Africans by the hundreds of thousands. The country of Burundi is a particular victim.

Several news services subsequently reported the Nevada lab property was connected to the California lab, which was owned by (or linked to) a mainland Chinese citizen named Jia Bei Zhu. Yes, Lab 1 and Lab 2. Same mainland Chinese outlaw owner.

After the 2023 raid, Federal investigators reported the Reedley lab received “unexplained payments from (mainland) Chinese banks …” Other Federal and media reports state labs like the one discovered in Reedley (and I’ll wager like the one in Las Vegas) operate without proper regulatory oversight; which is bureaucratese for telling us the labs are primed and positioned to expose Americans to deadly diseases.

American plants are also targets. In 2025, two citizens of the People’s Republic of China were charged in a criminal complaint with conspiracy to smuggle into the U.S. a fungus called Fusarium graminearum. Scientists classify that heinous slime as a potential agricultural terror weapon.

Agroterrorism. In July 2004, I wrote a column on the threat posed by terror attacks on food resources. Attacks on crops are as old as war itself: Romans salted Carthaginian fields. The Soviet Union had several bioweapon programs specifically aimed at food crops. Ken Alibek, a Russian scientist who has written extensively about Soviet programs, documented research into bacteria and viruses “designed” to attack wheat, rice and corn.

For the record, the nasty fungus the two 2025 PRC operatives tried to smuggle stateside, “head blight,” is a grain disease that annually causes billions of dollars in economic loss. Fusarium graminearum toxins also sicken human beings and cattle. They cause liver damage, nausea and long-term reproductive defects in humans.

Is America being set up for a biowarfare Pearl Harbor? I recently re-read “American Caesar,” William Manchester’s biography of Douglas MacArthur. From pages 170-171, addressing Japan’s attack on the Philippines, Manchester writes:

“In 1934 Major General Frank Parker, then the (U.S. military) commander in the Philippines, reported to Washington that Japanese immigration continued to grow at an alarming rate, that they (Japanese infiltrators) were mapping the coasts, and that most of them were men of military age — some, indeed, known to hold reserve commissions in the Nipponese army. The War Department shrugged … The (Japanese) newcomers were industrious, they were useful bicycle salesmen, sidewalk photographers, and servants; they seemed to contribute to the quality of Filipino life. ‘Only later,’ Carlos Romulo recalls, ‘did I discover that my gardener was a Japanese major and my masseur a Japanese colonel.’”

Romulo was a Filipino adviser to MacArthur, later a Filipino general and ultimately a United Nations diplomat. He was also an honest man who knew he’d been very stupid and realized too late Japan had targeted and prepared his country for invasion at least 10 years before the 1942 assault.

My take: Beijing has found another way to evade American federal, state and local defenses. It is exploiting a gap in medical and health regulation.

An ideal time for the Chinese Communist Party to pull the biowarfare trigger: about 48 to 72 hours before the People’s Liberation Army invades Taiwan.✪

s we watch one more tirade on voter suppression by the Democrats, we wonder what choice they will finally make for the SAVE Act. Due to all their specious arguments against the bill, they may very well defeat it because; well, because that’s what they do! Even Senator Susan Collins has voiced approval of the bill; and she’s typically a reliable vote on which the Democrats can usually rely .

Democrats think it’s just simply asking too much for Blacks and Hispanics to get their own personal identification. I guess they don’t drive or fly on planes. And election integrity is just not all that important (to Democrats).

The facts are the Democrats have decided to embrace the extreme progressive positions, to their great detriment. Every vote demands they take the contrary position to fight against, refuse to consider reason, support anything Republicans may propose. This constant resistance is childish and impractical; and most of all, it defies the desires of the American public. Here are some recent examples of the most ridiculous and defiant acts of resistance by the Democrats;

One, the public knows biological men participating in women’s sports is wrong & completely unfair.

The idea of keeping girls’ sports for girls, and protecting them from male competitors in their events and in the locker rooms, is an issue 80% of Americans favor. “You rarely get 79 percent of the country to agree on anything,” CNN’s Harry Enten said, terming it a “ginormous majority,” which also includes almost 70 percent of Democrat voters.

However, the hubristic Left, culturally dominant for decades and backed by Hollywood, academia, and the media, thinks it can take an 80-percent issue and convert it into a cultural and political win. They are wrong about that. And convincing people to shut up is not the same as convincing them. Of course, these biological men are “trans women.”

The public also takes a reasonable stance when it comes to deporting illegal immigrants; particularly those who are known to already be violent criminals. Although these foreigners have no place in our country, the Democrats are deaf to any and all calls for their deportation.

This week in Los Angeles, demonstrators protested ICE and immigration policy under the Trump Administration by carrying around the flags of foreign countries, while burning the American flag. These demonstrators, many of them in the country illegally, went on to block highways paid for by American citizens as the local police were told to stand down, according to the local police representatives. A recent Siena Poll shows a majority (almost 80 percent) of New Yorkers are on board with deporting illegal immigrants with criminal offenses.

The Democrats have also aligned themselves with the most extreme positions of the LGBTQ+ Left: despite the reality this faction is a small minority, making outrageous demands, and often, committing illegal acts.

There are yet even more extreme examples: neopronouns, keying Teslas, looting and rioting, fiery but mostly peaceful protests, burning the American flag or saluting alternate flags, and calling for the assassinations of political opponents. These actions, linked to fringe elements of the Left, cast a long shadow over the Democrat brand. Though the party may not explicitly endorse such behaviors, its hesitance to denounce them outright can be perceived as tacit approval, alienating voters who value law and order.

Democrats have also taken the most extreme positions on abortion. Instead of listening to public opinion, Democrats refuse to condemn third trimester abortions. And, as in the case of former Virginia governor Ralph Northam, they’ll even mull over infanticide if a baby survives an abortion. In contrast, most Americans refuse to accept killing babies after they are born.

Why do Democrats continue to take these extreme positions? For one, they are dominated by the beliefs of the progressive Left, and moderate positions are no longer tolerated in the party. Another reason is they believe the public is stupid, ignorant; or both, and they need to act on their behalf. Third, they disdain Republicans and will defy them, no matter what the issue. Fourth, they will fight for more power at all costs. And finally, quite frankly, they don’t care about what the public wants or thinks. Funny that Democrats were elected to represent citizens, but hold the citizenry in contempt.

Some would say the Democrat Party needs to either let the more moderate Democrats take control, or pay attention to the public’s expectations. If the party is to survive, but then again, it’ll be really satisfying to watch them go down in flames.✪

he Supreme Court ruled Friday that President Trump’s sweeping global tariffs are illegal; delivering the most significant legal defeat of his second term and undercutting a central White House trade initiative.

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote for a 6–3 majority that Trump exceeded his authority by invoking emergency powers to impose duties on virtually every country. The tariffs at issue were expected to raise about $1.5 trillion over the next decade; representing roughly 70 percent of Trump’s second-term levies, according to the Tax Foundation.

Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Brett Kavanaugh dissented.

The ruling is the first time the high court has definitively struck down one of Trump’s second-term policies. In other areas, the court has granted Trump broad latitude to deploy executive power, but a majority of justices said he went too far in enacting his most sweeping tariffs without clear authorization from Congress.

Trump imposed the tariffs in two waves. In February 2025, he placed 25 percent duties on most Canadian and Mexican imports and 10 percent on Chinese goods, citing fentanyl trafficking. Then in April, on what he dubbed “Liberation Day,” he imposed a general 10 percent tariff on imports from nearly all countries and steeper rates on nations the administration deemed trade violators.

Trump declared overdose deaths from fentanyl and persistent annual trade deficits to be national emergencies that justified the new trade policy under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, a 1977 law Congress passed to give presidents tools for responding to foreign crises.

The court rejected that argument. “Had Congress intended to convey the distinct and extraordinary power to impose tariffs, it would have done so expressly,” Roberts wrote. The court noted that no president in IEEPA’s history had invoked the statute to impose tariffs before Trump.

The decision leaves unresolved whether importers are entitled to refunds. Kavanaugh warned in dissent that the refund process was likely to be a “mess.” ✪
