✪ WHAT’S DIFFERENT THIS TIME?

ell, lookee thar! The Left has eaten another of their own. This time it’s Eric Swalwell who’s been served up for dinner.

This is surprising because Swalwell is a true-blue progressive fascist. He has always been a steadfast supporter and defender of the Ever Bigger Government model. There are no government programs Swalwell dislikes. In the past, he has even embraced the military for perpetuating Forever Wars. After all, under Presidents Obama and Biden, as first stated by voter who was elated with Bill Clinton’s first presidential election, “Those are our jets now.” Swalwell not only favors the socialist path of regulatory strangulation of capitalist enterprises, he embraces cultural Marxism in all of its many depravations. While no violence by the Left is ever condemned; conservatives are routinely castigated for exercising their freedoms under the Bill of Rights. However for all of these endearing progressive qualities, Swalwell’s most lovable personal feature is still his rabid TDS.

Swalwell bang banging Fang-Fang didn’t seem to matter to Progressives. After all, these were two consenting adults, and it was a completely private matter. However, it became most uncomfortable when it was disclosed how Fang Fang was a Chinese spy tasked to infiltrate Swalwell’s office. Well, she infiltrated more than that. In any case, progressives couldn’t care less because Swalwell held impeccable credentials as one of the Russia collusion hoax perpetrators par excellence. His relentless hounding of Pres. Trump washed away all his sins in their eyes, and he was the only Democrat with name recognition in the California gubernatorial race.

#MeToo was spawned on the casting couch by Harvey Weinstein. Somehow, the Latin phrase “quid pro quo” was never considered in the context of those talent appraisals. It was indeed a curious case of the Left eating the Left. Discomfort among progressives built as the #MeToo movement grew too close for comfort for many in high places and cast an ever wider net into other arenas of disparate power; and once again, the net seemed to catch more Left-leaning fish than Right. Utter hypocrisy set in with the release of Epstein files indicating more prolific malfeasance by Democrats than Republicans. The silence was condemnatory of the movement. As suddenly as it was birthed, the #MeToo movement almost faded away faster than you can say, “monkey pox.” But, hark! After Easter, there’s been a resurrection! #MeToo is back from the dead and suddenly cares about Swalwell’s alleged victims and his misbehaving adventures.

It is notable that none of his donors or endorsers ever withdrew their support from Swalwell while allegations of sexual assault and even rape remained anonymous. But once a former staffer stepped forward to claim rape, then several other women found their voices to come forward with similar stories of sexual assault.

A long time ago, the progressive House Speaker Thomas Foley stated, “Even though there is no evidence, the seriousness of the charge is what matters.” This teaching moment apparently has been forgotten by progressive pupils because they have learned instead to turn a blind eye to all matters sexual. Yet, suddenly in a flash, how things have mysteriously changed.

Let’s not fool ourselves. Progressives haven’t found a moral compass. In fact, Progressives don’t even believe in morals. They also don’t believe in virtues like honesty, integrity, diligence, hard work, faithfulness, etc. Instead, they believe in values such as diversity, equity, inclusion, the warmth of collectivism, etc. Don’t expect any revulsion to come forth from them for the wholesale murder of innocent unborn children, genital mutilation or the sterilization of children all in the name of “gender affirming care.” Beyond their one-off sacrifice of Swalwell on the altar of political expediency, don’t look to them for any condemnations of their own moral turpitude.

So, what changed? What’s different now? The most obvious answer is the free speech social media platform X. This platform hosts as an information arena for thousands of sharp, attentive, politically astute people. X was a big reason why Donald Trump was reelected. The Lugenpress has never provided fair or balanced reporting on Trump and they never will. However, X became a public megaphone for free speech. Arguments could be made in favor of Trump and ridicule dumped on progressive lunatic ideas. This turned the tide of public opinion on closed borders, less crime, cheaper oil, gas, eggs, and prioritizing American interests above all others in the world.

Progressive donors and endorsers don’t really respect free speech platforms or the value they provide by elevating and spreading public discourse. Rather, it’s really quite the opposite. They only value & support media which parrots progressive fascist ideals while trying to constantly censor opposing viewpoints. They value media which buries and hides unfavorable stories. However, X has become a light in the world to the progressive darkness; exposing nefarious individuals and their actions in the public spotlight.

Swalwell’s donors and endorsers will never admit it, but they are only looking after their own interests and reputations. Their withdrawal of support should in no way be construed as some kind of exercise in moral responsibility as they scurry quickly away from the brightness of the light and back into the dark holes where they live. ✪
