VDH: Stop Destroying Civilization!

nnn
n the #MeToo years, the Left’s signature slogan was “Believe All Women!” That directive was used to bolster Christine Blasey Ford’s preposterous and easily refuted 2018 allegations that some 35 years earlier she had been sexually assaulted by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, when both were teenagers.
Two years later, the Left quietly junked that “Believe Women!” credo when Tara Reade came forward and lodged a far more credible charge that 2020 Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden had sexually assaulted her when she was a Biden senatorial staffer.
Seven other women alleged that Biden acted toward them in sexually inappropriate ways. The Left more or less ignored these serial charges, and in Reade’s case, demonized her. Suddenly, the new mantra was “Believe women only if they prove useful to the Left.”
Since then, the grotesque sexual misconduct involving Democrat politicians—from New York governor Andrew Cuomo to California Congressman Eric Swalwell—has finally put #MeToo to rest. We were reminded of its demise when it was revealed that Maine senatorial candidate and socialist heartthrob Graham Platner had been discovered to possess a long social media history of crude and pornographic put-downs of women.
Indeed, an entire gaggle of former girlfriends has attested to his Nazi fascinations, his contempt for women, and his occasional physical violence against them. So what?
Or as feminist icon and former #MeToo-er Senator Elizabeth Warren put it, speaking at a Platner campaign rally in Portland, Maine, “I’m here because Washington needs fighters, and Graham Platner is the fighter we need.” But a fighter for what cause—and on whose behalf?
The demise of Black Lives Matter (BLM) offers another example of a recurring left-wing phenomenon: movements that begin as moral crusades and end as self-parodies. Almost every BLM cause célèbre has proved fraudulent, following a long tradition that stretches from Al Sharpton’s Tawana Brawley myth to the Duke lacrosse scandal.
The ginned-up BLM riots that followed the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, were all based on an abject lie. Brown never said, “Hands up, don’t shoot.” In fact, he attacked a police officer repeatedly and was lethally shot as he charged toward the officer.
Failing actor Jussie Smollett was never attacked by white MAGA thugs in the wee hours of a cold Chicago night. Instead, the faker Smollett hired two Nigerian-Americans, decked out in MAGA hats, to stage a mock attack. Only by staging such an attack could Smollett claim victim status, attract national sympathy as a target of white hatred, and attempt to revive his fading career.
Yet, for a while, the con worked. Soon-to-be Vice President Kamala Harris, who would go on to praise the often-violent mass George Floyd demonstrations of 2020, raged that the attack by anonymous white “racists” was an“attempted modern-day lynching.” Right—and she never apologized for spreading that lie.
The aftermath of the death of George Floyd did lasting damage to the country that still reverberates. Floyd was a career criminal. He had been imprisoned for participating in a home invasion where he pressed a gun into the stomach of a terrified young woman, who was beaten by one of his fellow criminals.
At the time of his arrest, Floyd was in poor condition both physically and legally—attempting to pass counterfeit currency, high on drugs, recovering from COVID, and resisting arrest.
He died after a police officer restrained him using an authorized but controversial protocol that involved placing a knee on the prostrate suspect’s neck—and did not heed in time Floyd’s call that he could not breathe.
What followed was the high-water mark of BLM. Four months of nightly riots led to some 35 deaths; 1,500 injured law enforcement officers; $2 billion in property damage; 14,000 arrests; and the torching of a police precinct, a federal courthouse, and an iconic Washington, D.C., church. The current leftist habit of urban intersection takeovers, statue-toppling, name-changing, and violent demonstrations is a legacy of that summer of lawlessness.
So we still live with the toxic ripples from the aftermath and the canonization of Floyd. Thousands of police officers nationwide were laid off in “defund the police” madness. Faddish “critical race” and “critical legal” theories led to no cash bail and the near-immediate release of hundreds of thousands of arrested violent criminals.
Our supposedly best universities, in Pavlovian fashion, dropped the SAT admission requirement and upped race-based admissions.
Racially segregated graduation ceremonies, dorms, and “safe spaces” proliferated—along with newly introduced remedial math courses at our top campuses. Indeed, professors began handing out A’s to 80 percent of the student body, as Ivy League schools now inflated grades far more than did community colleges.
Administrators and bureaucrats soon created thousands of DEI positions across universities and corporations. This craze led to McCarthyite “diversity statements,” an epidemic of alleged victimhood, untold billions of dollars squandered, and workplace productivity diminished. And the result was certainly not better race relations.
We were just reminded again of the absurdity of the immediate post-Floyd years, after learning that the inverse of Floyd’s death had recently transpired in the United Kingdom.
Eighteen-year-old Henry Nowak, a white male student, was fatally stabbed by a Sikh immigrant with his “ceremonial” sword. In truth, the weapon was an eight-inch knife mysteriously exempted from Britain’s otherwise tough laws against possession of knives.
According to reports, Vickrum Digwa called police and falsely claimed that the dying Nowak had initiated the confrontation with racial slurs, while family members attempted to conceal the weapon. (Would a Scottish Highlander claim that he too had the right to carry an eight-inch broadsword as integral to his race, religion, and indigenous traditions?)
No matter—the police arrived hungry to deal with a sensational case of George Floyd-style, white-on-non-white racial violence.
Instead, they reportedly treated Digwa as the victim and handcuffed the mortally wounded and bleeding Nowak as he pleaded—nine times in total—that he could not breathe and was dying. They therefore almost certainly ensured his death. The national reaction?
No British politician went into full George Floyd take-a-knee mode—as they had in 2020, even across the Atlantic, for the felon George Floyd. The ensuing unrest, so far, seems mainly to have been limited to Southampton; there has been no mass destruction of property; there have been no mass assaults. Nowak was on the wrong side of the left-wing race-based binary of victim/victimizer and thus offered no fuel for virtue-signaling by hollow politicians. Such racial reductionism always trumps matters of class, evidence—and the truth.
As for the fate of the BLM architects? The founders never accounted for how their $90 million in donations was actually spent, but they did disappear into their newly purchased multi-million-dollar homes and have hardly been heard from since.
The episodes of existential psychodramas that come and go—after doing enormous damage to the nation—are nearly endless.
A number of American and international agencies and “experts” have now, mostly quietly, sighed that global warming was never really the existential danger that the Left swore would put “Earth in the balance” in a mere decade.
Nonetheless, once again, the toll has been enormous. Germany wrecked its economy to seek mythical “net zero” carbon emissions—by dismantling natural gas, oil, and nuclear power plants and turning to costly, inefficient, and unreliable solar and wind power.
This green mania swept the Western world—as China built two to three coal-fired power plants a month.
The left-wing, postmodern, globalist notion of a borderless utopian world that would fuel endless “diversity” has done so much damage to Western nations that even the European Left now fears its own political suicide from the vast influxes of often hostile illegal aliens.
Millions of unlawful and unvetted entrants crashed the borders, with no desire to integrate, assimilate, or acculturate to their Western hosts. They have spiked crime, fueled anti-Semitism, and ensured unsustainable social welfare costs.
The transgender frenzy was to be the Left’s next civil rights crusade, as it constructed a new victimized class with reparatory claims against the guilty traditionalist majority.
It mattered little that gender dysphoria was an ancient phenomenon, documented even in classical literature as a rare and aberrant syndrome where physical sex was at odds with psychological sexual identification. That malady had also been well known to modern sexologists since the 19th Century, who had documented it as rare, involving far less than 0.01 percent of the population.
Nevertheless, the Left invented the unnecessary Orwellian term “transphobe,” and suddenly we were off to the races with transgender biological men nude in gym showers with teen girls and transgender “women” with male musculoskeletal bodies dominating female sports.
Soon, an epidemic of teens began wondering whether they were in fact “trans” and pondering whether to undergo a battery of dangerous hormonal and chemical drug regimens—or calling themselves nonbinary, to the point where the new third sex sometimes seemed almost as numerous as the old two genders.
What accounts for these bouts of periodic, collective, and suicidal madness? First, the craziness is almost always birthed in the contemporary, affluent, and leisured West, which alone has the capital and resources to afford such freakish sideshows.
Second, the frenzies are usually the creation of the Left, predictably birthed in universities, the media, and the bureaucracies. They appear with familiar symptoms. The irredeemable, deplorable, and “garbage” hoi polloi are supposedly too dense to be properly schooled and thus must be frightened to death in order to adopt agendas that otherwise appear to them as utterly insane.
Junk your natural-gas dryer and grill, or face massive floods on your coasts. Drop the SAT and defund the police or face endless race riots.
Hire thousands of race and gender commissars or be forever tagged as racists, sexists, homophobes, and transphobes. Open the border and let illegal aliens enter by the millions, and thus pay partial penance for “whiteness” as the nation “checks its privilege.”
The Left is correct that few Western voters will openly embrace the unpopular elite agenda of racial fixations, globalism, laxity on crime, and degrowth environmentalism.
Their long-term solutions have four predictable aspects:
- Open the borders to create a more diverse, impoverished, and needy constituency.
- Create fake “working-class” pseudo-populist candidates like the pampered Graham Platner, the God-is-nonbinary “new Christian” Talarico, and, of course, the waxen effigy of “good ol’ Joe Biden from Scranton.”
- Destroy time-tested systems by seeking to demolish the Electoral College, the 50-state union, the Senate filibuster, and the nine-justice Supreme Court.
- Gin up these end-of-days, pseudo-existential crises whose solutions require massive new taxes, bigger government, and more dictatorial elite managers.
One good sign of growing antidotes is that increasingly Americans, and indeed all Westerners, are saying no to green haranguers, no to the gender and sex demagogues, no to the race-baiting industry, no to the open-borders conglomerate, and no to ungrateful immigrants.
Their pushback might be summed up as follows: “We are no longer going to allow you to destroy ancient traditions that ensured our prosperity, security, and liberty, and which were handed down to us by generations far better than your own.” ✪

JB SHURK: STRENGTHENING AMERICA’S THREAD OF LIBERTY

here is an eighty-five minute documentary I highly recommend you should watch. It is called The Thread of Liberty: Keeping Our Republic. It comes from Ned Ryun, the author and American Majority CEO who wrote a very good book called American Leviathan two years ago. A work which was subsequently turned into an excellent documentary about our country’s oppressive administrative state. Ryun directed and produced this new film to celebrate America’s two-hundred-fiftieth birthday. While working on the project, he served on President Trump’s 1776 Commission.
▶️ 1 Hour 2 Minutes 15 Seconds
I really appreciate what Ryun accomplishes with his books & documentaries. In effect, he reminds Americans of their birthright, while giving them a refresher course on the historical & intellectual struggles which have brought us to this point in time.
Mixing arguments from history, philosophy, political science, and Christianity in an effort to encourage freedom-loving Americans to protect and preserve their country is not easy. Ryun wants conservatives to get out and vote during an era when a lot of people have begun to see elections as useless exercises in performative theater. He wants Christians to take their civic duties seriously during a century when corporate officers and government officials regularly demonize Christians. He wants people to understand why they should continue fighting for the principles underlying American Exceptionalism during an amoral, nihilistic, anti-American age when cultural and political leaders often detest and publicly denounce the United States. These are difficult tasks.
In my own writing, I do my best to remind readers why they should be proud of their country. Sometimes people are quick to express in the comments that there is little to celebrate because the country is all but lost. Other times, commenters will point out that the time for history lessons and philosophical arguments has already come and gone. A lot of people rightly worry that America is headed for civil war, and many feel that rational debate is futile when bloodshed may well lie just beyond the horizon.
I have always been of the opinion that whatever happens down the road, those of us who wish to defend America from her enemies must have a firm grasp of and appreciation for America’s founding principles. In this regard, the more success that outright communists have in taking over the Democrat Party as part of their institutional conquest of the United States, the more committed patriotic Americans must become to the cause of defending our God-given rights and liberties. As our enemies become more emboldened in their campaign to destroy America, we must find within ourselves the confidence to resist and persevere.
This is why Ryun’s Thread of Liberty is so timely. It tells the story of America exceedingly well. Whereas Barack Obama’s presidency rejected American Exceptionalism, introduced a cancerous self-hatred within the body politic, and provided cover for Islamic supremacists, Antifa domestic terrorists, and anti-American communists to run for political office on platforms openly calling for the destruction of our constitutional form of government, Ryun’s documentary shows just how remarkable America’s founding principles have always been.
Whereas race hucksters, such as Al Sharpton and Eric Holder, and instigators of racial hate hoaxes, such as the Ku Klux Klan-supporting Southern Poverty Law Center, pit Americans of different races against each other, encourage Americans to topple over statues of the Founding Fathers (because some might have owned slaves), and push for special preferences in college admissions and hiring decisions depending upon an applicant’s skin color, Ryun explains how the Civil War continued the American Revolution’s fight for human liberty, inalienable rights, and equality under the law. Whereas leaders of the Democrat Party openly conspire to aid and abet illegal aliens in defiance of Federal law, permit non-citizens to vote in elections, pack the Supreme Court with dyed-in-the-wool Marxist-socialists, and empower government bureaucrats to micromanage every detail of our lives, Ryun’s film shows how a century of regressive “progressivism” has instituted the “soft despotism” of “experts” who rule as cubicle kings and queens.
The Thread of Liberty does a tremendous job of defending the American Experiment and demonstrating how America’s founding principles have directly guided the country through its darkest times. While the vast majority of Democrat voters have been indoctrinated to despise their country, dismiss the Founding Fathers as racists, and reject the constitutional safeguards set up to protect our God-given rights, Ryun’s documentary shows how the Founders’ vision informed the Emancipation Proclamation, the Reconstruction Amendments, and the mid-twentieth-century’s Civil Rights Movement. Those who wish to destroy America use our nation’s worst conflicts as a means to delegitimize both the spirit and legal framework of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, while those very documents embody the quintessential American virtues that have continued to lead us down the path toward freedom, security, and prosperity.
To be sure, the thread that connects the generation of our Founding Fathers with our own is worn and unraveling. There is a real fear today we might lose our country: and therefore, lose our liberty. How can we preserve a constitutional republic that has already abandoned Madison’s system of checks and balances among coequal branches of government in favor of a sprawling administrative Deep State whose members govern despotically and cannot be voted out of permanent bureaucratic office? How can we protect our inalienable, God-given rights when most elected officials reject the authority of God and insist that government is the source of all rights? How can we speak and pray as free people when the Intelligence Community conspires with social media companies to censor our speech and lawmakers empower prosecutors to persecute people of faith for their religious beliefs? How can we enjoy our liberty in peace and use our private property as we wish when a century of jurisprudence has enabled presidents such as Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt to erect an administrative state Leviathan that claims unmitigated authority to regulate every element of our lives? Is there anything remaining of the thread of liberty, or are we unmoored from our country’s founding principles and drifting into a morass of administrative state tyranny?
In asking these questions, Ryun’s documentary serves as a jolt of electricity in the two-hundred-fiftieth year of the American Experiment. One of the things that his film does so well is to show the viewer that Americans have stepped up to the abyss and nearly lost their country many times before. The War for American Independence, the interstate squabbles that arose during the uncertainty of the Articles of Confederation, the Industrial Revolution, the Civil War, the Reconstruction era, the flight from farms to factories, Jim Crow laws, two world wars, the disastrous growth of the unconstitutional administrative state; every decade of the past two and a half centuries has pulled at that thread of liberty and threatened to separate us from our American inheritance.
Ryun also points us to the prescriptive remedy by highlighting Alexis de Tocqueville’s classic work, Democracy in America. What the French political philosopher, historian, and anthropologist recognized in the United States of the 1830s was a country whose people governed themselves effectively because they valued Christian virtue, civic organizations, and church fellowship over the machinery of government. Self-confident, self-sufficient, moral people who cherish their liberty more than the empty promises of politicians are the essential bulwark against tyranny and the perpetual guarantors of personal freedom.
America’s survival depends upon a return to the nuclear family, a renewed sense of Christian duty, reinvigorated patriotism, and the replacement of bureaucratic “experts” with “We the People.” That’s the “covenant” connecting Americans today with those who first secured our liberties two and a half centuries ago. That’s the Thread of Liberty that we must make strong once again. ✪
▶️ THE IRANIAN FREEDOM FIGHTERS NEED GUNS

THE IRANIAN FREEDOM FIGHTERS NEED GUNS

lll
he fastest path to a free Iran isn’t more American troops; it’s giving the Iranian people the means to overthrow the regime themselves. Machiavelli wrote that “the chief foundations of all states . . . are good laws and good arms.” If the last argument of kings is war, the best response from the subjects is guns.
Those good arms must be in the hands of the citizens; and the entire world is waking up to the fact there is a need for guns for citizens to fight the tyrants persecuting them or seeking their extermination. Americans are not fools for holding onto our firearms. Corporate media stateside and around the world can criticize or condemn us for any number of gun-related deaths, but when controlled for location (big Democrat-run cities vs. Rest of America) and reasons (self-defense vs. murder), the numbers tell a completely different story. America is a better country due in a very large part to our Second Amendment. Americans are just safer and freer than the rest of the world because of our guns.
In a previous article, I argued Trump should pressure other countries into adopting their own local versions of our Second Amendment in their respective constitutions. If they want to make their countries great again, then their good citizens need good arms to ensure the enforcement of good laws and social stability.
There’s no better example of this need than Iran. Last year, President Trump destroyed their nuclear capabilities; and along with Israel and partners in the region, the United States has escalated the war to finally break the will of the Islamic militant government and destroy it.
However, the United States cannot finish the job alone. The Europeans are apprehensive about stepping in; and thus far, China has only pressured Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. One key demographic still remains which must intervene for freedom: the Iranian people themselves.
How can we assist the Iranians to become free of their tyrannical government? The ayatollahs and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are completely committed to global jihad; even at the cost of sacrificing their own people. To date, the regime has killed nearly 50,000 of them in order to put down dissent and rebellion.
For ancient Persia to once again be free, the Iranian people must have guns. And we can supply them. There is an actual historic precedent for this. In 1944, American forces airlifted weapons into Poland to assist the resistance against the Nazis. We also supplied the French maquis resistance fighters.
Directly arming Iranian citizens would serve several purposes:
- Allow the citizens to rise up and force the unelected IRGC to shift their focus onto internal matters.
- In overloading and reprioritizing their attention, the ayatollahs and IRGC would have fewer resources to police or frustrate the Strait of Hormuz.
- This effort would save lives. Arming “defenseless citizens” would give the innocent a chance to fight back and protect themselves.
- Such a strategy would cost the United States far less in terms of blood and treasure. Dropping arms into key locations across the country would flip the balance of power inside the country.
Could we count on the Iranians to raise their arms and fight back against the regime?
Persians are not by choice not natively Islamic. Rather, the “revolution” of 1979 forced Islam upon the country. However, killing one’s Muslim brother in Islam is strictly prohibited. Quran 4:93 says, “But whoever kills a believer intentionally; his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him and has cursed him and has prepared for him a great punishment.”
Despite this severe admonishment, the corrupt leaders of Iran have still slaughtered anyone who opposes them, including Muslims, with irreligious abandon.
Between the corrupt Iran Regime and its proxy militia, they have murdered hundreds of thousands Muslims in addition to Christians and Jews around the world since 1979. In fact, as an “occupying government” the unelected Iranian leaders have slaughtered far more of their own Muslims than their claims suggest.
Iran’s leaders are also misappropriating the wealth of the country to foment revolution in Sunni-dominated countries. These funded militant radicals in other countries (e.g., Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, etc.) do not hesitate to murder other innocent Muslims on Iran’s behalf. When the current war in Iran began in February, one of the first targets of the terrorist dictators was their fellow Muslim countries in the region.
I believe Iranian citizens will indeed rise if they are provided arms to defend themselves. Muslim countries targeted by Iran could also follow suit and help provide weapons to their fellow adherents.
There is evidence Iran is aiding Shia Muslims in Pakistan by smuggling weapons into that country. It’s time to follow their example and return the favor in order to destroy this megalomaniacal regime.
In the American Wild West, a handgun was called “the great equalizer” for good reason. In fact, the handgun was what won the American West, as it brought law and order.
America and the Arab Alliance can take advantage of boots which are already on the ground by arming the Iranians. Unlike the citizens of Vietnam, Afghanistan and Gaza, the majority of Iranians are standing by and ready to overthrow their government. They only meed the tools and means to succeed.
Directly arming the Iranian resistance would create new internal pressure to remove the regime. Giving them the means to fight would give them an active role in securing their own freedom.
Will there be those who objection to such a proposal? Of course, probably from the CIA and foreign policy brass as well as confirmed liberals who religiously watch MSNOW and donate to the Democrat Party. The largest obstacle to providing guns to the Iranians would probably be Deep State government operatives who would oppose the move only because it would increase Trump’s chances for success in eliminating that evil regime.
Let’s consider the possible excuses and them refute them:
CLAIM: Supplying guns to civilians may help topple the current regime but create a vacuum of power which would allow someone even worse to take over the country.
FACT: Iran’s current government is already a suicidal cult who believe a global war is needed to hasten Allah’s return. They also believe dying in the name of Allah assures their heavenly rewards. There’s no risk in having a worse government because only saner minds will take over.
CLAIM: You cannot randomly air-drop firearms into the country because they could harm civilians on the ground.
FACT: Night delivery in secure packaging would reduce serious harm. Private firms already engage in similar delivery methods. At least 100 to 150K units are necessary to arm a massive civilian resistance in order to achieve a successful revolution.
CLAIM: The Kurds stole the weapons we delivered to arm them for a similar effort and Iranian civilians might do the same.
FACT: The Iranian people now have an extremely compelling need to use weapons to resolve the largest problem facing them: annihilation by their government.
CLAIM: If the Kurds didn’t fight, the Iranians wouldn’t either.
FACT: Besides the Iranians, regional groups, such as the Baloch, the National Council of Resistance of Iran, and many others, are now prepared to lead a revolt and secure the country.
President Trump has already initiated a military action long needed but too long delayed. He should release firearms in strategic locations to Iranian rebel groups prepared to organize and fight. Taking such a step would help end the war and this murderous regime as quickly as possible, once and for all. ✪
▶️ THE SMITHSONIAN AMERICAN HISTORY MUSEUM IS A DISGRACE

THE SMITHSONIAN AMERICAN HISTORY MUSEUM IS A DISGRACE

lll
arning! If you plan on visiting the nation’s capital this summer, skip the American History Museum. According to a new report by the Domestic Policy Council, the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History has completely failed in its fundamental mission; to instill in visitors a deeper appreciation & respect for the American story.
According to that report, here are the five most disturbing things about the Smithsonian’s American History Museum:
✪ ONE: Villainizing Our Founding & Founding Fathers
If you’re going to the museum to learn about history, it’s best go elsewhere. Sorely lacking are exhibits dedicated to the Pilgrims or Puritans, or to major events in the Revolutionary War, such as Washington’s crossing, the Continental Congress, or the Constitutional Convention. This follows the museum administration’s stated goal to “transform the national historical narrative” away from America’s Founding and Founders. In this, they have succeeded. The museum is nearly devoid of … well, American history.
With 200,000 square feet of exhibition space, it is unforgivable the museum dedicated to American history so fully neglects to give the American Founding the time and space it rightly deserves. Instead, it vilifies America’s founding stories, calling the Pilgrims colonizers, reframing Thanksgiving as a “National Day of Mourning,” and embracing 1619 as our true founding instead of 1776.
The museum refuses to tell the patriotic narrative of American history. According to the report, there were no planned displays dedicated to George Washington or Thomas Jefferson for America’s 250th Anniversary. Both Washington and Jefferson are given a cursory mention in one display, but it only notes both were presidents used to “instill patriotic values.” Information about Washington’s pivotal role in the American Revolution, both Continental Congresses, the Constitutional Convention, or his presidency is completely absent. Additionally, the museum ignores Jefferson’s role in writing the Declaration of Independence, his contributions to religious freedom, his founding of the University of Virginia, and his Presidency.
Instead, the museum focuses on how many of the Founders were slave owners, while completely ignoring all of the Founders who worked to end slavery.
It comes as no surprise the museum endorses the American Association for State and Local History’s Reframing History Project, which argues teaching about the Founding Fathers perpetuates dominant groups’ power and reinforces white supremacist logic.
✪ TWO: Bashing Christianity
According to the report, the museum portrays Christianity as an instrument of “conquest, exclusion and cultural erasure” while ignoring the role Christianity played in shaping the Founders’ thinking on freedom and equality.
In addition, the museum refuses to give Christianity any credit for the abolitionist and civil rights movements; or for its contributions to classical liberal thought, which led to the widespread adoption of democracy as a form of government. Instead, the museum vilifies Christianity as a tool and motivator for oppression. For example, in the museum’s Aspects and Assumptions of Whiteness infographic, the museum claims treating Christianity as the norm and celebrating Christian holidays are aspects of white culture that should be dismantled.
✪ THREE: Pushing Critical Race Theory & DEI
The museum prioritized race-based hiring and special programming for both non-residents and non-English speakers. Museum leadership also complains centering history curriculum in K-12 schools around white people is dangerous and instead choses to use the Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) educational programming,. An organization we now know sent funding to the KKK and other white supremacist groups. Among other things, the SPLC also provides a toolkit entitled “Confronting White Nationalism in Schools.” The museum also openly supports the idea of transferring American land back to indigenous peoples. The museum claims even itself is tied to systemic whiteness and is an imperial structure.
These kinds of statements leave no doubts: the museum has shifted from its mission of telling the American story to now forcing a national “reckoning” down the throats of its visitors. It is no longer dedicated to historical accuracy, but to advancing the message America is and always has been a racist nation. As Director Anthea Hartig recently stated publicly, history for her is a “prime tool of social justice.”
✪ FOUR: Undermining The Importance Of Western Civilization
The museum consistently promotes anti-Western civilization propaganda, claiming Western culture is built on white supremacy. Western Civilization is built on the ideas of law and order, the rationality of humans, free inquiry, the scientific method, individual liberty, and the inherent dignity of human beings. Evolving out of the combined traditions of ancient Greek and Roman philosophy and Judeo-Christian writings and practices, Western Civilization has already shaped 2,000 years of history. It led to the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution, and the American Founding. Western Civilization also produced Homer, William Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Michelangelo, Vincent Van Gogh, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Marie Curie, Thomas Edison, and Nikola Tesla, to name a few of its giants. Dismissing Western Civilization also ignorantly dismisses the accomplishments of these giants.
In an attempt to undermine Western Civilization, the museum teaches there is really no single American culture, language, or narrative. Dr. Orlando R. Serrano, Jr., the current “Head of PreK-12 Learning,” criticizes the logic of Western Civilization because it prioritizes concepts such as “order, organization, and taxonomy.”
✪ FIVE: Refusing To Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary
Instead of celebrating what our Founding Fathers accomplished 250 years ago, the museum choses to have an exhibit titled Entertainment Nation, which argues P.T. Barnum’s circus symbols reflect concerns about white supremacy, Mickey Mouse represents vestiges of blackface, and then goes on to feature LGBTQ entertainers. This makes sense once you realize under the current museum leadership, all exhibits must be connected to identity politics, radical environmentalism, economic inequality, immigration, technological change, or nationalism and globalism, according to the museum’s interpretive plan.
When Director Hartig took over, she even had the museum’s mission statement rewritten, changing “we explore the infinite richness and complexity of American history” to “exploring, preserving, and sharing the complexity of our past.” Deleting the phrase “infinite richness” to describe American history and removing “American history” altogether demonstrates an outright hostility towards our nation and its past.
However, the museum does have one exhibit dedicated to America’s 250th Anniversary, but the objects focusing on actual American history have stayed in their normal locations, while a monarch butterfly statue representing migration and an immigration farm worker statue of liberty were given more prominent placing. The exhibit also completely fails to address any true impacts of the Declaration, the Revolutionary War, or the founding of the country. Instead, it highlights a framed photo of a drag queen.
✪ Getting The Museum Back On Track
This museum has become is a complete tragedy for our country. Our country’s only national American history museum should serve as a source of patriotism and pride. It should be a place for Americans to come and learn to love their country and discover how we have grown. Instead, the museum has a display which questions whether schools should teach patriotic values at all.
The first step to fix a problem is to identify it. Unfortunately, getting this museum back on track with its original mission will require a complete overhaul of its leadership, staff, most exhibits, major programs, and mission statement. Once this is accomplished, the museum can create displays which once again provide an education in the duties and responsibilities of citizenship, inspire patriotism, and celebrate the American story. Then it will once again be a museum worthy of visiting. ✪
▶️ MITCH MCCONNELL’S ABSENCE MUST BE EXPLAINED

MITCH MCCONNELL’S ABSENCE MUST BE EXPLAINED

hhh
e’s dead. No, he’s alive. He’s brain dead. He’s living in a Barstow Motel 6 under an assumed name with Elvis. The rules are clear: senators must disclose to the Senate reasons for an extended absence. Has Mitch McConnell done that? Is he even still alive?
The political and social media spheres have been buzzing for nearly a month about Senator Addison Mitchell McConnell’s state of … existence. The 84-year-old Kentucky Republican was reportedly admitted to a D.C.-area hospital on June 14 after he suffered “cardiac arrest” at his Capitol Hill townhouse.
And then he just seemed to completely disappear. “Have you spoken to Senator Mitch McConnell?” a reporter asked President Donald Trump on Thursday. “No I haven’t,” Trump answered. “Do you know how he’s doing?” asked another. “I have no idea how he’s doing,” the President said. Do his colleagues?
The upper House’s rules are clear: senators must disclose to the Senate reasons for an extensive absence. It’s not clear whether McConnell, who holds the record as the longest-serving party leader in the Senate’s history, has followed the rules.
✪ His Constituents Deserve Answers
On July 2, McConnell’s staff said in a statement the former Senate majority leader appreciates the outpouring of support “he’s receiving while he continues his recovery in the hospital.” At that point, his staff said McConnell was improving, and working closely with his office “on Kentucky and Senate matters while the Senate is out of Session.” That’s right. The Senate is on vacation again while critical bills like the SAVE America Act collect dust.
However, McConnell’s absence completely out of the public eye is strange indeed — and concerning. It has created a stir, lots of speculation, and plenty of conspiracy theories.
His last Senate vote was on June 11, three days before he reportedly suffered a loss of consciousness and was rushed to the hospital. A couple of weeks prior to the sketchy incident, McConnell was photographed getting around the Capitol in a wheelchair.
The last time he ostensibly weighed in on his Facebook and X accounts was on June 12, two days before the “incident.” He’s not well & that’s been clear for some time mow. But is McConnell actually dead? Some lawmakers are worried.
Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., on Thursday told Good Morning America he doesn’t know whether McConnell is dead or alive. “I have not heard from him, and I think it’s a question that Republicans should be asking because he does represent the state of Kentucky,” Stutzman said. “His constituents deserve answers to know where he is at.”
Conservative “influencer” and Trump ally Laura Loomer insists McConnell is “officially brain dead,” per a “high level source close to the White House.”
✪ He’s Not Brain Dead
According to some who personally know the senator, reports of McConnell’s death have been greatly exaggerated. CNN reported Rep. Jack Kimble of California’s 54th District has confirmed McConnell is alive. Unfortunately for CNN, neither Jack Kimble nor the fictitious 54th exist.
“I spoke to my old friend Mitch McConnell this morning, the senior Senator from Kentucky,” the political parody account posted on X. “He’s still recovering in the hospital. We talked for just shy of 45 minutes. He’s so sharp. Just like always he let me do all of the talking. He’s a great listener. After that we prayed silently for awhile and had a staring contest. Just like always, he beat me.”
Actual lawmakers — Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D. and Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso, Wyo., both claim they have spoken with McConnell earlier this week, each chatting with the senator about the issues of the day. At least their spokespeople claim they said that.
NewsNation political campaign reporter Jackie Koppell late Thursday reported that a “source familiar with the McConnell health situation” told her the senator is still alive.
“He’s not brain dead. He’s in rehab and the hospital. With his condition, he needs time to physically recover. But mentally he’s fine. The doctors want to make sure he’s okay,” the source said, according to Koppell. If the source is California Jack Kimble, then we’re back to square one again.
✪ Mitch McConnell Has An Obligation To Resign
The big problem is McConnell’s flunkies refuse to say what’s ailing the old man this time, what his prognosis is, when or if he is expected to return to the Senate. They have provided no photos, no video and no proof of life. A whole lot of speculation has filled the uncertainty gap; more so because the senator’s most recent appearances at the Capitol involved aides helping walk.
The octogenarian lawmaker who is set to retire when his current term ends in January, has dealt with several health incidents over the past few years, some which have sidelined him for extended periods of time.
McConnell’s latest disappearance presents a bigger problem for the Senate and his constituents. The Standing Rules of the Senate state, “No Senator shall absent himself from the service of the Senate.”
Rather than communicating through secret phone calls or anonymous sources, McConnell has an obligation to disclose to the Senate the reason(s) for his extended absence and to request permission of the Senate to grant him the privilege of continued absence.
Without that disclosure and request, and without explicit Senate approval for his extended absence (which surely the Senate would grant), McConnell now has is obligated to resign. And he is required to make the request under the Standing Rules of the Senate. These are the rules, and it’s long past time for senators to actually follow them.
McConnell’s mysterious time away also seems to be complicating the Senate’s business.
The Senate is on yet another recess until Monday, and the “deliberative” body is running out of time to do much of anything before the traditional long summer recess; more than a month beginning the second week of August. Then, with campaigning season upon us, the road to a timely budget appears paved with selfish intentions.
McConnell is chair of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense. He also sits the on the powerful Appropriations Committee. As The Washington Post reported, McConnell’s absence has already forced the subcommittee’s leadership to cancel a critical hearing on defense spending.
“McConnell’s continued absence could make it harder for the Appropriations Committee to pass budget bills, by eliminating Republicans’ one-seat majority on the panel,” the outlet reported. “Without McConnell, the Appropriations Committee is split evenly between Republicans and Democrats, and tied votes tend to sink legislation in committees.” ✪

DATAREPUBLICAN SMOKES CANDACE OWENS ON X

ggg
ello Mrs. Owens, You told millions of people that Tyler Robinson “wasn’t even there.” That you felt “confident stating that Tyler Robinson did not kill murder Charlie Kirk.” He was on camera. Prone on the Losi rooftop at 12:22. Shot at 12:23:28.
DNA on the screwdriver at 30 quintillion to one. DNA on the rifle at 1.7 octillion to one. He told his family what he did. His parents helped him surrender. He texted his roommate: “I am, I’m sorry.” He engraved “Hey Fascist! Catch!” on the ammunition a month before he used it.
You said police “didn’t even question” Lance Twiggs. He was interviewed twice. FBI the morning after. Joint state-federal team seven months later. His own attorney. Voluntary phone surrender. You laughed when you said it.
You told Shawn Ryan a shaped charge killed Charlie. That PETN was in his microphone. The medical examiner says gunshot wound. Bullet fragments were recovered from his body. A .30-06 Mauser with Robinson’s DNA was found in the woods.
Neither side — not prosecution, not defense — has mentioned explosives. Not once in four days. You said the shot came from below. The Losi Building is above the amphitheater.
You called Erika Kirk a “clinical psychopath” to an audience of millions. You said the assassination was “an occult ritual.” You said Charlie was “sitting in a pentagram.” You told people Israel killed him because he refused Netanyahu.
You made over a hundred episodes. You built a franchise on a dead man’s name. And the hardest fact of all: Tyler Robinson’s own defense lawyers — the people whose entire career is on the line to get him acquitted — have refused to make a single one of your arguments. Not one.
They’re challenging DNA methodology. They are doing their jobs. You were doing something else entirely. Charlie Kirk changed my life. He platformed my work when nobody knew who I was. He had my back when I was doxxed. I was the ten-thousandth most important person in his world and I will never be able to repay him. So I did what I know how to do. I read every transcript. I watched every hour of testimony. I cataloged your claims and I held them up against what was said under oath.
Every single one failed. I don’t know why you did this. I’m not going to speculate on your motives, because that would make me exactly the kind of analyst I’ve spent my career refusing to be. But I know what you did.
You told people confident lies about a dead man’s murder, and millions of them believed you, and some of them turned that belief into threats against his widow. The trial continues. And every day of sworn testimony is another day your words get tested against reality… under oath, on the record, where it counts.
I’ll be here for all of it… because just as Charlie defended me, I will do what little I can to defend his legacy and @TPUSA and @MrsErikaKirk from evil. ✪
