Democrats & Their DEI Albatrosses

jjj

few Democrat officeholders, activists, and pundits are finally coming to their senses that their brand is toxic to a majority of the American people. The Biden Administration killed what was left of it in a number of ways. Democrats are trapped by the toxic DEI ideology they created; too afraid to reform, too broken to survive without it.

First, they serially lied to Americans about the cognitive decline and cancerous condition of President Joe Biden, both while in and after office.

Only when caught did the complicit Media confess the Biden inner circle serially misled the American people about Biden’s inability to fulfill the duties of the presidency.

Second, left-wing politicos used Biden as a waxen effigy. His job was to pose as a “moderate” cover to push through the most radical and unpopular agenda in the last half century.

Only that way could “Old Joe Biden from Scranton” and his backroom handlers ram down the throat of the American people all of those unpopular policies which nearly wrecked the country: hyperinflation and $7 trillion in new debt, weaponization of the government, partisan lawfare, an open border with 12 million new illegal aliens, a racialist DEI commissariat, a crackpot Green New Deal, defunding the police, biological men competing in girls’ sports and two theater-wide wars abroad.

Third, without either a functional president or viable initiatives, the new hard-left Democrats sought to brand Donald Trump as “Hitler” and half the country who supported him as “fascists.”

For nearly nine years, the Democrats launched one failed hoax after another on the American people: “Russian collusion, laptop disinformation,” and the lying so-called “51 intelligence authorities.” They proved quite willing to undermine the Rule of Law by manipulating the court system in efforts to destroy their bogeyman, Donald Trump.

Never had the American people seen a political party engineer 93 bogus indictments of a rival candidate and ex-president. Two dozen states tried to take Trump off their presidential ballots. And the Biden Department of Justice sicced an FBI SWAT team to barge into Trump’s home.

The people finally got tired of all the potty-mouthed Democrat videos, the congressional stunts and meltdowns, the pampered rich kids rioting on elite campuses, the knee-jerk obsessions with racial slurs, the firebombing of Tesla dealerships, the romanticization of left-wing political murderers; and always the adolescent tantrums over Donald Trump.

The Democrats gave up on democracy some 13 years ago. That was the last time they transparently and democratically nominated Barack Obama a second time as their presidential candidate. Ever since, their nominations have been rigged.

In 2020, party insiders; terrified of the left-wing crazy primary field, forced out all the leading contenders.

Then they coronated the debilitated but still supposedly useful moderate Joe Biden as their COVID-era candidate. Biden then bragged that he would pick his vice president on the basis of race and gender.

What followed was the most bizarre campaign in American history. Biden stayed put hiding in his basement and outsourced his candidacy to the partisan media.

Party activists changed long-standing voting laws in the key swing states. For the first time in American history, 70 percent of Americans did not vote in person on Election Day—the majority of them by design Democrats.

Next, in 2024, they forced the now no longer useful Biden off the ticket, nullifying his 14 million primary voters.

Then, without a single vote, they rammed in inept Vice President Kamala Harris as the nominee. As a failed candidate in 2020, she had never won a single delegate. Some in the party now concede it must roust out its radicals. But Democrats will not.

AOC and her Squad, the unhinged Jasmine Crockets of the party, and the ossified socialist Bernie Bros would demonize any Democrat who offered a sane reboot.

A few fossils in the party may think they know how to save it. But they are terrified that the medicine would be considered far worse than the illness that prompted it. Would Democrats consider embracing measured and legal-only immigration? No, because their crazy base would scream “xenophobe!”

A return to meritocracy and the Martin Luther King notion of race as incidental, not essential, to who we are? Again, that would be called “racist!”

Maybe reforms to fix failed schools with vouchers, school choice, and charter schools? Again, “racist!”

How about developing gas and oil reserves and nuclear power to lower energy costs for the struggling Middle Class? That would be condemned as “destroying the planet!”

Restore police forces, end critical race and legal theory, and deter criminals with tough sentencing? Again, “racist!”

How about ceasing the whiny fixations with “white privilege” and “white rage?” Or quit looking for a “white supremacist” under every bed? Again, “racist!”

The left created DEI—the use of race to adjudicate every political issue. And like any addictive, toxic drug, they now can neither survive with DEI—nor without it. ✪

▶️ JOE BIDEN’S FINAL $93B ENERGY ‘LOAN’ GIVEAWAY

Joe Biden’s Final $93B Energy ‘Loan’ Giveaway

lll

he Biden Administration rushed $93 billion in loans from their Department of Energy in final 76 days of his term; more than double the combined amount for the entire last 15 years. Loans approved with no business plans; prompting calls for investigations into the misuse and theft of taxpayer funds. Sen. John Kennedy condemned “shoveling” the funds as “stealing” and is urging accountability for the waste. The Trump Administration vows to cut bureaucracy, root out fraud and tighten federal spending controls.

A jaw-dropping $93 billion in taxpayer-funded loans was rushed through the Department of Energy (DOE) in the final 76 days of Joe Biden’s presidency, with Energy Secretary Chris Wright testifying such funds lacked proper oversight, business plans or even proof of financial viability. The controversial loans; twice as much as awarded in the prior 15 years combined, have ignited bipartisan fury over what critics call an audacious end-of-tenure “bailout binge.”

Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) who grilled Wright during a Senate hearing, called the spree “disgusting,” comparing the taxpayer dollars to “ditch water” and accusing Biden officials of “shoving money out the door in the final minutes to unqualified recipients.” The loans, approved under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, funded projects ranging from renewable energy to grid resilience efforts, but many lacked basic due diligence.

“Entities which provided no business plan, no numbers about their financial solvency; we gave those groups taxpayer loans?” Wright confirmed under questioning, adding that the frantic rush “undermined public confidence” in government.

✪ “Shovel-ready” Or Sham Deals? The Rush To Oblivion

The $93 billion in DOE loans, part of a $10.5 billion grid resilience program, were all issued in just over two months, sparking immediate scrutiny. Inspectors general reports highlighted systemic failures: insufficient staffing to vet applications, lax compliance standards and a culture of expediency.

Wright revealed that some loan recipients submitted “half-baked ideas” or promises to create plans later. “A number of those were funded,” he confirmed, adding that improper lending occurred even before Biden’s final weeks.

Sen. Kennedy fumed:

“They were spending money like it was free, but every dollar costs Americans. This isn’t stimulus, it’s thievery.”

✪ Why Now: Political Panic Or Cronyism?

The timing of the loan surge has fueled speculation about the political motives behind it. Former Biden appointees have been linked to companies receiving funding, though the administration completely denies any impropriety.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), a key oversight figure, noted:

“$7 trillion in deficits and trillions in wasted stimulus show this isn’t an accident. It’s a pattern of misuse.”

Wright, a holdover from the Biden team, acknowledged that projects were fast-tracked without scrutiny. “It wasn’t done in many cases,” he admitted, criticizing the “recklessness” of his own department’s leadership.

The scandal resonates with broader GOP frustrations over Democrats’ spending habits. “Why $93 billion in two months? Because they wanted to lock in deals before an audit could begin,” argued Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s office, which has pushed for separate spending bills to curb such “end-of-tenure giveaways.”

✪ The Path Forward: Accountability Or Amnesia?

Energy Secretary Wright pledged to “separate the wheat from the chaff” and root out fraudulent loans, even as Republicans demand criminal investigations. Biden’s replacement, President Donald Trump, has framed the scandal as proof of systemic misconduct.

“This isn’t just about money. It exposes a bureaucratic machine incapable of fiscal responsibility,” Trump declared in a speech, citing the parallels between the DOE’s rush and abuses in the now-infamous “Outdoor Monuments” scheme.

For Sen. Kennedy, the scandal underscores a deeper rot:

“If these folks can steal $93 billion in plain sight, how much more did they take we’ll never see?”

✪ A Moment Of Truth

The DOE scandal is the latest chapter in a now-familiar narrative of Washington excess. As Sen. Kennedy asked, “Where’s the accountability?” With voter fraud debates heating up and investigations into Biden allies ongoing, the question — paired with $93 billion in shadows — may define the 2026 midterms. In an era of trillion-dollar deficits, few expect pennies to be found in that trough.✪

▶️ TRUMP’S BIG BEAUTIFUL STEEL DEAL

Trump’s Big Beautiful Steel Deal

kkk

n just four months, President Donald Trump has reversed many of his predecessor’s bad decisions. From DEI and foreign wars to border security and energy, Trump is setting America back on the right track.

And last week, he upended one of Biden’s most brain-dead blunders: blocking Nippon Steel’s multibillion-dollar investment in U.S. Steel.

Biden and Trump both opposed the purchase last Fall, but the former president formally blocked it in January. Trump, on the other hand, reversed course after hardball negotiations forced Nippon to increase its offer by at least $8 billion. On top of the $14.9 billion purchase, the $5,000 checks to 22,000 workers, $1.6 billion in plant upgrades, and the construction of a training center in western Pennsylvania, Nippon will also build a new $4 billion plant in Pennsylvania.

According to Trump, the deal will create 70,000 well paying, new jobs; some undoubtedly temporary, but many will remain permanent. And none will be lost in the deal, while America maintains control of a key industry.

This isn’t just coming from Trump. Nippon also hailed the deal as a “game changer,” and U.S. Steel confirmed that it will remain an American company and “will grow bigger and stronger” due to what it described as “massive investment.”

Union workers love the deal, too. Jason Zugai, vice president of the union local at one of US Steel’s Pennsylvania plants, said he was “relieved, happy, and thankful” that Trump finally got the new deal done.

That Nippon would agree to Trump’s terms shows just how right he has been on many economic issues. Despite condemnation from the usual establishment naysayers who sold out the manufacturing sector, Trump has explained his economic views as owning a “store” that everyone in the world wants to shop at. “On behalf of the American people, I own the store, and I set prices, and I’ll say, if you want to shop here, this is what you have to pay,” Trump told Time magazine.

Trump took a lot of heat over those remarks, mostly from the same sort of pro-globalization “experts” who thought inflation would be “transitory.” However, it turns out that some market analysts essentially agree with Trump.

“The benefits of gaining access to the growing U.S. market are enormous for Nippon,” said Masayuki Kubota, chief strategist at Rakuten Securities Economic Research Institute.

The Nippon-U.S. Steel deal is not yet final, and many in Washington, D.C., will no doubt try to muck it up. These are the same swamp-dwellers who patted themselves on the back while American jobs, like the ones Trump just saved, were shipped off to China. While working Americans were staring down pink slips, these same politicians were getting rich off of insider trading and backdoor federal contracts – including hiding gold bars for the Biden Administration!

After decades of job losses in manufacturing, these politicians claimed that there was nothing anyone could do to bring good-paying blue-collar jobs back to the U.S. It seems what they really meant was that there was nothing that they were going to do to bring those jobs back.

However, this is just another example of Trump doing what so many politicians have failed to do: keep his campaign promises. Americans returned Trump to the White House with the first popular vote victory by a Republican in 20 years, in part because of his promise to protect U.S. workers and stop Washington policymakers from destroying blue-collar communities.

For four years, Biden; or whoever was holding the pen and the power, sold out American leadership, liberty, security, and workers. President Trump can be forgiven for leaning in that direction, considering his preference for a “Made in America” domestic manufacturing revival. But now that he’s back in the Oval Office, it seems he can see the Nippon deal for the spectacular win that it is.

President Trump showed the world what real America-first leadership looks like, and his approval of Nippon’s billions is the outcome. Best of all, it sends a new message to foreign multinational firms: If they want to do business in America, they’re going to have to do it in a way that puts Americans & America first. ✪

▶️ DOES THE DEMOCRAT PARTY HAVE A FUTURE?

Does The Democrat Party Have A Future?

kkk

emocrats are panicking over their abysmal (and well-deserved) approval ratings, and above all about the fact that, while they were otherwise preoccupied, the American working class deserted them. The New York Times has an article which provides an endless source of schadenfreude: “How Donald Trump Has Remade America’s Political Landscape:”

Donald J. Trump’s victory in 2024 was not an outlier. It was the culmination of continuous gains by Republicans in much of the country each time he has run for president, a sea of red that amounts to a flashing warning sign for a Democratic Party out of power and hoping for a comeback.

The steady march to the right at the county level reveals not just the extent of the nation’s transformation in the Trump era but also the degree to which the United States now resembles two countries charging in opposite directions. All told, Mr. Trump has increased the Republican Party’s share of the presidential vote in each election he’s been on the ballot in close to half the counties in America — 1,433 in all — according to an analysis by The New York Times.

It is a staggering political achievement, especially considering that Mr. Trump was defeated in the second of those three races, in 2020. By contrast, Democrats have steadily expanded their vote share in those three elections in only 57 of the nation’s 3,100-plus counties.

This part is particularly delicious:

Even more ominous for the Democrats are the demographic and economic characteristics of these counties: The party’s sparse areas of growth are concentrated almost exclusively in America’s wealthiest and most educated pockets. Yet Mr. Trump has steadily gained steam across a broad swath of the nation, with swelling support not just in white working-class communities but also in counties with sizable Black and Hispanic populations.

***

Ben Tulchin, a pollster who worked on Senator Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaigns, said the old political calculations for how Democrats can win elections were now obsolete. “The math doesn’t work,” he said. “For years, the belief was Democrats have had demographic destiny on our side. Now, the inverse is true.”

Glorious, isn’t it? There is much more to be said on this topic, and one obvious question (which the Times piece briefly raises at the end) is: to what extent is this phenomenon unique to Donald Trump, and to what extent does it represent a long-term realignment that will make the Republican Party dominant for a generation? We have written about that, and will continue to do so. Briefly, the answer is “Yes.”

Democrats acknowledge that the numbers are bad, but are mostly in denial as to why their party is so despised. Senator Michael Bennet, who is leaving that body to run for Governor of Colorado, was on CNN:

“I don’t think nationally the Democrat brand helps very much anywhere,” Bennet told CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday when asked about the party’s standing. “If it did, we wouldn’t have lost to Donald Trump twice.”

Bennet added:

“I’m also furious at the Democrat Party that has lost twice to Trump. Donald Trump could not get appointed to any job in the state of Colorado. He couldn’t get hired on 17th Street, which is our business street here in Denver, Colorado. But he’s been sent to Washington twice to blow the place up.”

Bennet, and many other Democrats, consider the fact that they lost to Donald Trump the ultimate indignity. But that suggests they still haven’t absorbed the lessons the voters are trying to teach them. Let’s start with this: Bennet says that, not only could Donald Trump not be appointed to any job in Colorado; certainly true as long as Colorado has a Democrat governor, but also, “he couldn’t get hired on 17th Street, which is our business street.”

But wait! Donald Trump was a very successful businessman. He earned something in excess of $1 billion as a real estate developer, authored 15 books, one of which is one of the best-selling business books of all time, and fronted a remarkably successful television program. The idea that Trump is some sort of buffoon who “couldn’t get hired on 17th Street,” which, with all due respect to Denver, is not exactly Wall Street, is absurd. And yet, this sort of thing is exactly what nearly all Democrats believe.

I don’t suppose anyone on CNN thought to ask Bennet, “How about Joe Biden? Do you think he could get hired on 17th Street?” Or Kamala Harris? Both of these two most recent Democrat candidates for president are essentially unemployable outside of government. Until Democrats are willing to acknowledge (at least privately) that Donald Trump is a far more accomplished person than any of their last three presidential candidates: Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris–they will continue to wander aimlessly in the wilderness. ✪
