Recollections

âœȘ Congratulations, we all made it through yet another week of the DC Donkee Horror Show. Let’s see, the price of gas & groceries are still going up, the war in Ukraine rages on, the Media finally discovers Hunter Biden’s laptop 18 months after the election and the World learned the Disney Corporation is really run by a bunch of sick & twisted pedophiles and radical transgender reprobates. Oh yeah, President Potato is still just as clueless as ever with one thumb stuck in his mouth, the other in his ass while he eagerly waits for his handlers to yet “switch ‘em!” again. Whenever the shit show starts feeling like it’s becoming a little too much to take, I like to take a break and retreat into pleasant memory to revisit how things were “back then.” Not really as an escape; but rather a way to root myself again in sanity and balance out the stupidity & evil they keep pitching at us everyday. It’s a bittersweet undertaking because on the one hand, I’m glad I lived during those times in that America; and on the other, I’m frustrated by all of the bullshit I see happening now. I believe a majority of people in this community are probably older than fifty, so you all know exactly what I’m talking about.

Perhaps those times only seem so much better now because back then we were young and naive; we had NO idea how completely corrupt & dishonest our government really was or could become. Back then, with only three television channels & a handful of newspapers, it was much easier for government to hide their crimes & manipulate public opinion. Also, much of what they did stayed hidden behind the scenes and for the most part, didn’t directly impact our lives so negatively like the shit they’re pulling now. To be honest, I believe the general quality of life back then was much better before the world became digitized & everyone started walking around with their cell phones a foot up their asses. Life was just more simple, direct and authentic before we foolishly made technology the self appointed master of all Humanity. We enjoyed a natural optimism that the present was better than the past and the future would always be better than the present because that’s the way things had always been.

We seemed to laugh more frequently and were much more grateful for everything we had. We valued friendships more and a man’s character was as good as his word. We weren’t under constant attack by special interest groups with huge investments in making everyone believe women have penises, men have babies, all white people are racists or that the World was going to end in ten years unless we destroy everything and surrender to a World communist government in order to control the weather. Remember how Life was were when you didn’t have to constantly fight against the merchants of chaos always trying to push all of that mush into our heads? Remember social civility? People respected one another. Our parents taught us manners and how to tell the difference between right & wrong; and, they didn’t hesitate to lay down a good whooping on us when we deserved it. Businesses prided themselves in giving their customers the best experience they could. Stores had courteous sales people who actually knew about their products and business instead of acting like they were doing you a favor just to take your money. Most importantly, there was an expectation people should treat others at least as well as they wished themselves to be treated and if you didn’t, you stood out like a sore thumb. Back then, assholes were the exception and not the norm. Remember when self accountability and personal responsibility were rewards in themselves and everybody wasn’t so busy looking for their next reason to play victim and feel butthurt over unimportant things? Remember when you worked hard in school for good grades and respected your teachers because you wanted to do well for them? Remember when teachers were actually teachers and not radical marxist homosexual activists? Remember when they taught useful subjects without making everything about race and weaponizing or sexualizing subject? Remember when you could feel good about yourself in overcoming a challenge, solving a problem or achieving a goal with out being accused of “privilege?” Remember how most people were able just to pick themselves right back up after falling down without becoming outraged at every little thing or blaming the World and everyone in it? Remember when people honored their commitments and paid their debts?

Remember when you didn’t need to lock your doors at night or when you left for an hour to go to the grocery store because you still believed in the fundamental goodness of other people and that belief hadn’t yet been betrayed or already fucked over 1000 times? Remember when homes only had one television & one telephone? If you remembered you forgot to call someone back while you were out running errands, then you were either stuck finding a pay phone somewhere or having to wait until you got home again to call them. Gas stations had attendants who wore company uniforms, cleaned windows, checked your oil and air & gave away pieces of flatware or dishware with every fill up because businesses were still focused on winning and keeping your customer loyalty. Remember when we still had sports and entertainment figures who were worthy of admiration as role models because of their exemplary professional accomplishments instead of because they beat their pregnant girlfriends or robbed someone in a hotel room? Remember when you could find & listen to good music on the radio? Remember when our money was still made out of silver and gas only cost 35 cents a gallon; when you could get a hamburger for a quarter & a Coke in a glass bottle for only a dime? Cigarettes were 15 cents a pack and nobody shit themselves when your dad sent you down to the corner store to buy a couple packs for him. Candy bars were four times bigger than today and gum ball machines were still only a penny. It wasn’t necessarily because everything was cheaper back then, it was because the government was still showing some sense of responsible financial restraint by not looting the taxpayers or completely gutting the currency. Remember when we followed the Rule of Law and there was a real criminal justice system? If you did the crime, you did the time; you were punished and sent to jail regardless of skin color, wealth or social standing. “Justice” actually represented equal protection and representation under the Law. There was no such thing as “just us” or “social justice.”

Before we get completely carried away with ourselves, it’s important to keep in mind that hind sight is always 20/20 and nostalgia can be very selective. The best memories are the ones which tend to endure the longest because they made such a great impact. Of course, it also helps to be young and not yet entirely abused and beat up by all of the crap of life we accumulate as we become older. That’s why little kids are always happy and laughing; they haven’t lived long enough yet to allow themselves to be weighed down by all of the garbage the World throws at people. They haven’t yet struggled with financial or addiction problems, broken relationships, business failures or a host of any of the other unpleasant shit that’s already written into the equation of living. I know, it wasn’t all cotton candy and sunny days. I clearly remember polio, the constant fear of nuclear war, dentists from hell, heavy pollution, communism and lots of other regular discomforts and inconveniences which resulted from us not knowing as much as we know now about a lot of things. Back then, a diagnosis of cancer was a death sentence. Innocence must be a kind of bliss because back then, we simply didn’t know any better. We had less but were more happy and lived better than the previous generation. All of this began to change in the 1960’s. The JFK assassination and the Vietnam war really put the brakes on our national optimism and confidence in knowing the future could always be better. Then the fucking communists hijacked the education system starting with the universities and working their way all the down thru the system to where we are today; teaching three year olds in kindergarten about gay butt sex. Thanks to the communists and queer mafia, the education system in America is now a fucking nightmare and complete disgrace.

I will admit that I do find it immensely satisfying to sit and think about those days when life in our country was completely different. When our freedoms and the promise of America wasn’t under constant attack by an illegally installed government of criminal kleptocrats with authority obsessions. That is both my prize and punishment for having lived long enough to still remember the America I enjoyed before the one we have today: I see how things have changed so much and not for the better. Thankfully, there are still many places left in this country thriving culturally and financially because they continue to resist & reject the plague of global marxism. Places where people still go to church on Sunday and eat family meals together; where businesses still prosper without being bled dry and smashed under the boot heel of oppressive taxation & meddlesome regulation. Places where you don’t need to have permission from the government to wipe your butt after taking a dump. However, I am still concerned because too many places remain where the sheep continue voting themselves in “leaders” who seem intent on giving them only more decay in the form of rising taxes, homelessness, crime & drug use. Places where people have already forfeited their own sense of integrity for government free shit. Places where problems are created on purpose as a means of staying relevant by the same people who want to stay in power by offering the “solution.” There will be no way in the future of living in peaceful cohabitation with these fools because for all of their whining and crying about “tolerance,” they actually have none to spare for anyone who disagrees with them. They built that!

I’m certain there’s lots more that would come back to me if I thought more about all of this. I’m certain you have lots of really great memories too. Perhaps what I miss most of all about those times is the almost complete lack of pretense. Things were very much as how they appeared; kids were free to be kids until they grew up, women didn’t have to hide or apologize for their femininity and men didn’t wear man buns, mom jeans or shoes without socks. Everyone did the best they could with what they had. It worked. No unicorn farts or special rules to favor one demographic against all the others. If you worked hard, you thrived. If you didn’t, you settled for the consequences of that without constantly bitching about how fucking “unfair” everything was; or, how the World and everyone else in it owes you “more.” Real Americans rely on exceptionalism instead of complaining when something doesn’t go their way.

And it’s precisely because I’m a real American, I won’t complain, either. An honest look back allows me keep my balance, perspective & sanity; it helps me to find renewed strength, determination and exceptionalism within myself to carry on forward through the storms we are all experiencing. I kinda feel sorry for the younger generations because they lack this experience and the unique perspective it brings. It’s rotten luck these kids never got to experience that America I knew & grew up in. Their loss. So long as I hold fast to my power of memory, I still have faith in the the future & the promise of America; and, the hope that somehow all of this shit straights out some time in the future. I know, from where things stand now, that may be a big bite to chew and swallow, but when you forfeit hope, you forfeit everything else and that ain’t happening. There’s lots more of us than there are of them and when the opportunity finally presents itself, we’re going to finally take care of the enemies of America once and for all, just like we have always done back then. Remember? âœȘ

 Carry on,
