✪ The Gulf
There is a great disconnect or ‘gulf’ between the average working-class Republican who lives in the cities, towns and rural areas of America and the Republican officials we elect to government in order to represent us. The message we send to Washington DC with our elected Republican officials is we want them to get down into the mud and FIGHT for us. Fight to maintain and promote our conservative values and ideals in government. Fight for our interests as they represent our cities and towns, congressional districts and states. Fight for the best interests of this nation. As conservative American voters, we have made it abundantly clear we need & want FIGHTERS in office.
However far too often, those people who promise during election cycles to fight like hungry pit bulls turn out to be as weak & feckless as a pampered chihuahuas once they finally get to DC. All bark & NO bite. Therefore, a great distance or “gulf” has developed between elected Republican public service officials and their voting constituency who placed them in office. A “gulf” of disconnect which only grows wider and more distant with time. We only need to look at the current and previous Republican Speakers of the House as perfect examples of how far apart Republican Party officials have distanced themselves from the voters they are supposed to represent. Mike Johnson, Kevin McCarthy, Paul Ryan and John Boehner have ALL proven themselves to be huge disappointments to the conservative voters who gave them their political power. Each of these House Speakers has proven to be weak, if in fact not cowardly in how they ran their offices, preferring time and time again to compromise and yield to the Democrats on numerous important issues instead of fighting to best represent their voters.
While the Democrats continue to push their aggressive, socialist policy agenda In both the House of Representatives and the Senate with a “take no prisoners” and “never take NO for an answer “ approach, the Republicans are continually plagued by WEAK leadership are still playing an endless game of going along to get along which has allowed the political opposition and their agenda to dominate the direction of the country at every opportunity. The major gulf of disconnect between the Republican rank and file voters and the leadership of the party has resulted in numbers of repeated, devastating and discouraging failures of representation.
✪ The Current Situation
The lack of strength, resolve or ability to lead which now so often characterizes modern RINO Republicans in the House and Senate is untenable. They have forsaken their sacred oaths and duties of office to protect this great country by doing nothing to stop the massive invasion of illegal aliens flooding across our borders. They have been mostly complicit in enabling the continual transfer of US taxpayer Dollars to Ukraine in order to keep that conflict going there for as long as possible. They have made absolutely NO attempts to stop the historical levels of wasteful democrat government spending the country has suffered under since Joe Biden stole the Presidency in 2020. IOW, they have been completely missing in action. Quite the contrary, instead of legislating policies which would help curb the rising rate of spending, debt and the resulting inflation, they have joined with the enemy in the feeding frenzy at our expense by lending their support and votes to help pass these fiscally reckless and irresponsible continuing resolutions and omnibus spending bills written by the Democrats. And like the Democrats, they deserve just as much blame & scorn for their part in directly creating the high prices and inflation most Americans now suffer.
Regardless of whatever the Republican “leadership” in DC may claim in their on camera photo ops for the legacy, alphabet News Media; or, in their “official” press releases issued directly from their offices on Capitol Hill, the truth is they DO NOT in any way adequately represent the conservative values, interests or ideals of We The People who have sent them to Washington to be our voice. Instead, what they have done at almost every opportunity is betray our trust and confidence by repeatedly folding and compromising with the opposition on the other side of the aisle. Through their FAILURE and complete lack of any tenacity to fight for what they claim to believe in and their ongoing failure to honestly represent, they have allowed the Democrats to completely dominate the country politically.
Of course, there are still the Chip Roys in Congress; verbal firebrands who stand up and make grand speeches before the EMPTY chambers of the House and Senate. They yell and whine about the growing tyranny of the Left but somehow NOTHING ever seems to get done. NOTHING ever really changes. Time and time again, the Democrats just steamroll on with their destructive agenda for America without encountering any Republican resistance whatsoever beyond lip service. More and more, the obvious lack of Republican opposition has almost approached a point of absurdity where Republicans actually appear to be complicit partners in crime who indirectly support the Democrats through their lack of action. RINOs are very good at talking a tough line in public, but then flip flopping and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory at the very last moment. They are notorious for being able to be “persuaded” to change their votes on crucial bills at the very last moment to betray the best interests of their own voters
Senator Kennedy is another congressional, Beltway soundbite king. While he rails on and on about the inadequacies of either this or that judicial appointment, most of these horribly unqualified judges are still approved and seated at an alarming rate with bipartisan support; much to the delight of Democrats and to the detriment of the rest of the country. However, perhaps the MOST disturbing example which demonstrates the Republican Party is NOT concerned with doing their jobs is the complete lack of courage to stand up on on behalf of the January 6th political prisoners who are still rotting in prisons denied their constitutionally guaranteed due process of law almost four years after Democrats stole the 2020 election. Apparently, Republicans in Congress are just fine with this abuse of justice because they have NEVER done anything about it, outside of a small amount of vocal condemnation in the Media. As per the usual RINO pattern of making lots of noise followed by NO real action. Sure, there’s been tough talk about releasing all of the Capitol video footage and manipulative J-6 committee evidence which would exonerate all of those Americans suffering and rotting away in the Democrat DC gulag, but so far those have only proven to be more empty promises. Worse, the Biden Department of Injustice is still rounding up and arresting so called January 6th “insurrectionists.” Even many of them who weren’t anywhere near the Capitol building on that day. How can anyone claim that to be “representation?”
Also, the country is now experiencing a conservative political movement unlike anything we have ever seen before since Reagan and most of our elected Republican officials in Washington seem reluctant to get onboard and support it in any way. I guess they have grown far too comfortable and complacent from using the status quo to enrich themselves. Better to keep the gravy train flowing than upset the apple cart. We now have an absolute winner of a presidential candidate in Trump, yet only a minority of rank and file Republican leadership will go on the record as being MAGA to support him. WHY is that? In fact, most of them harbor an outright hate of him and everything he stands for.
They would rather maintain the status quo and remain members of a weak minority opposition party than risk potential greatness to save this country from its enemies. Feckless cowards. It’s really not an unreasonable expectation; the ONLY thing Republicans need to start doing to start doing their jobs better is just say NO, but they seem to be totally unable to do so. Unfortunately, they routinely vote out of self interest and cowardice rather than for what they know is right. They are too busy strategizing their voting record around how they can best avoid eliminating any bad press which may interfere with their chances of getting re-elected. They would rather NOT be pressured into taking any stand which really does whatever is necessary to best serve the interests of their CONSTITUENTS. They just do not realize that they could actually be BUILDING a stronger coalition of diverse Americans by voting in favor of conservative principles. God knows, Democrat policies are ALL failures. Their legislative cowardice and tendency to vote out of fear than integrity has nearly brought this country to complete ruin.
✪ The Path Forward
What does the future hold for the Republican Party in its current form if it continues to neglect its duties and obligations to America? That’s not really a tough question to answer. THERE will be NO Republican party in the future if things continue on the same path as they are now. Our bicameral, two-party system of government in this country was designed theoretically to check itself and guard from any possible extremism and abuses of power by maintaining a bipartisan balance through compromise and cooperation from BOTH parties. However, this isn’t happening now at all. The current form of the American Republican Party has devolved into a defacto rubber stamp for the Democrat agenda; and any strong voices in Congress who may support real conservative values in the Government are the minority. Unfortunately, at this time, there are just not enough of them to make the difference.
The result is our $36 TRILLION, increasing national debt, our failed and broken education system, oppressive consumer inflation, DEI in government and business, abandoned borders, numerous green energy boondoggles and record levels of crime, poverty and homelessness. In other words, nearly ALL aspects of our personal lives are now being directly impacted by our elected Republican “leadership” and their weak reluctance to act in anyway which serves us beneficially. HOW did this happen? WHY has this been allowed to happen? it happened partly because it is the twisted nature of all professional politician to promise whatever is necessary in order to get elected and then deliver as little as possible afterwards. Even total MORONS such as Alexandria Ocasio Cortez are accomplishing more for their party’s agenda than most House Republicans who have already been sitting in Congress forever.
The current path forward for the Republican Party leads NOWHERE except into political irrelevance & oblivion. The only path forward for rank and file conservative voters is to create our own way forward through a new party which will stand for our values and ideals without compromise. How many times have you spoken with fellow, like minded conservatives who share the exact same frustrations with always losing, every time? How many times have you become upset being built up to some sort of victory after being told every election cycle this time it will be different if we can only win the House or Senate? How many times have our hopes been played by the Political Establishment, only to ultimately be crushed by defeat at the very last moments? It’s like the RINOs and their Republican voting base are engaged in a constant game of Lucy yanking away the football from Charlie Brown. We fall for it every time because that is the only choice they really ever offer us.
We have arrived at a moment in history where is time for a serious soul searching from all American who want to preserve this Republic. We must collectively stand together and just say to Hell with a Republican Party which exists primarily to serve their own interests through compromise with the opposition. This time it IS different because we have a winner in Donald Trump who is finally looking out for us. We the conservative voters will do our part and answer the call to vote him into office on November 5th, but will the Republican “leadership” do their part to ensure a fair election, or stand behind us if it is stolen again? If past performance is in any way indicative of future expectations, then the answer to that question is NO. Unfortunately, our only chance to save this great nation from socialism and marxism may involve letting the Republican Party just die on the vine while we move forward to create and establish a true Conservative movement such as the one Trump is now leading. The stakes for America have never been greater as it is no longer just about the next tax proposal or foreign policy issue, but about the survival of the country and individual freedom in the World.✪
