The World Is Living On Borrowed Time

hen 2024 first dawned, now so many months ago, very few could have foreseen the political and cultural the turmoil which lay ahead. Itâs probably just as well. Only God has true foreknowledge; and since He already knows both the end and the beginning, nothing catches Him by surprise. He doesnât orchestrate chaos, but allows for it so that we may have wake-up calls to keep the importance of Eternity in perspective.
I would like to highlight five current international developments which are what I believe to be important turning points in this current year. To a certain degree, these events take oneâs breath away:
âȘ The Cultural Celebration Of Death
The Believer in Christ naturally loves life and desires to enjoy it forever; and will in a God’s Heavenly home. One of our duties as Christians is to reach out to as many people as possible to make this journey with us. As Christians, we have chosen Life over Death in a specific way which culminates in eternal life. At the August Democrat National Convention, very few attendees chose life.
Instead, abortion and the culture of death were exalted & glorified in a carnival-like atmosphere. People were encouraged to make themselves extinct by the sacrifice of children on all sorts of platforms! A mobile abortion clinic was provided in the parking lot of the DNC and more than two dozen lives of unborn children were exterminated on the spot.
This lunacy was staggering, with people walking around dressed in arcane costuming as if they were a birth control pill or an IUD. Clearly, it was demonic. Who could have ever imagined such a thing?
âȘ Presidential Candidates Removed
The Summer of 2024 saw both presidential candidates removed, although one survived an assassination attempt; and as of late Summer, he is thankfully still running for office. However, the globalists remain determined to install their candidate to carry out their end-time purposes.
As they continue to press on towards their one-world government and agenda, certain people are standing in their way. God is still in control of the timing of their success but they have absolutely NO understanding of this. They may be in a hurry to establish their New World Order, but they canât force events ahead of Godâs timing.
âȘ The New Paganism: The Arrival Of The Antichrist
The 2024 Olympics in Paris was a public spectacle of hedonism, paganism and moral debauchery; and, it took a direct & unspeakable swipe at the Lord Jesus Christ. The Paris Olympics may have been the greatest globalist extravaganza ever. This yearâs event reaffirmed that as believers we are blessed to be secure in the love of God and His plans for the end of this age. Christians throughout the World who witnessed the blasphemy at the Olympics are righteously indignant at the public attack against God on the global stage. Specifically mocking the Lordâs Supper set a new low standard of indignation towards the Creator who has saved Humanity from the consequences of their own sin.
This event seemed to be intended to announce the Antichrist, who hasnât actually shown up yet because this still isnât his time yet! However, he still made a symbolic appearance at the Olympics by riding in on a white horse.
âȘ The World Turns Against Israel
Israel is being betrayed, even by her once strong allies & supporters in Washington D.C. Israel has been isolated and viewed as a burdensome stone (Zechariah 12:3). Israel has been betrayed by almost everyone and will drop her guard one last time after the Antichrist appears:
“And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.“
The total betrayal of Israel is almost complete. When Israel was attacked on October 7, 2023, a natural response against the Hamas terrorism should have unanimous been global condemnation for Hamas and support for Israel. Instead, the exact opposite happened. Global antisemitism bloomed throughout the entire world; so stunning one could never have anticipated such a level of hatred equivalent to that of the 1930s and sadly, unique to this modern generation.
College campus protests, marches, riots and demonstrations globally have once again reignited the old Nazi passions to âgas the Jews.â ” From the river to the sea” is a mantra calling for the complete extermination of the Jewish people. This panorama is set to further expand this Fall and Winter as Israel’s war against Hamas will invariably expand against Hezbollah in neighboring Lebanon. In recent months, Jews have come under increasing pressure to run and hide from conflict; to compromise their national safety and make peace with their attackers.
âȘ The Gog-Magog Players Are Positioning Themselves
Four of the five major participants to the Russian invasion of Israel as outlined in Biblical prophecy, known as Gog-Magog, are flexing their muscles today. Russia, Iran and Turkey have united in very recent years with an early foreshadowing of Ezekiel 38-39.
Sudan is also engaged in a brutal civil war with Russian soldiers stationed throughout the country and could easily participate in the taking of a âspoilâ in Israel as outlined in Ezekielâs passage. Israelâs wealth would come as a great prize to an impoverished Sudan. The brutal Sudanese regime would rather steal than produce it.
These are only five developing scenarios which have serious consequences and specific Biblical references. No previous generations have observed this kind of alignment and convergence simultaneously in all of these areas. It seems like time may be growing short friends; and the World may indeed be living on borrowed time. âȘ
