Announcing the Addition of TNA Donate Page & Link.
Since the premiere of The New Americanist back in January, many have asked about donating to support this site. Until now, there has been no formal donation mechanism. I originally intended to provide a donation link when the site first launched on January 25th, but pulled it when I realized the site was hobbled by serious technical issues for the first 35 days due to very poor GoDaddy WordPress Hosting. It didn’t feel right accepting donations on a website that wasn’t working properly.
Once technical issues were finally resolved by the first week in March, the CV19 pandemic hit with shutdowns & closures to soon follow. Those closures included all of the County Clerk offices in Nevada. Instead of being able to file for a new business license in a single afternoon, the pandemic “mail only” process required by the state took almost two months. I spent those two months waiting & fine-tuning most of the site’s graphic elements.
After almost five months of delays, I am pleased to announce all the stars have finally lined up and The New Americanist is now able to accept user donations.
Please remember:
- Contributions are entirely voluntary & not in any way required to access or use this site.
- The New Americanist will always remain an ad free site.
- The best form of contribution is still active participation on the Forum threads.
I have already made the necessary initial financial investment: licensing, registration and service fees required for site operation are all paid & secured thru the beginning of next February. I remain committed to the ongoing investments of time required to improve and expand this site’s online presence. With only five months remaining until the election, I believe such commitment is key.
Future Planned Objectives for The New Americanist:
Near Term:
- Search engine optimization to place us on Page One of any future online searches made by Conservatives. Many users at “other sites” are still unable to find us here.
- Upgrade WordPress designer apps to Pro versions. The basic freeware versions I now use are very limited. Upgraded pro versions will open new doors to greater creative flexibility & a much improved look & user experience.
Mid Term:
- Demographic specific and targeted online advertising & promotion; I already have a completed marketing plan prepared & ready to execute.
- Exploit Twitter & Facebook as secondary sites to push our url address to potential new community members. Although I cannot stand either Jack Dorsey or Mark Zuckerburg, there are still large numbers of Conservatives using their sites we can reach by taking advantage of the free visibility available on both their platforms. We’ve already had a Twitter TNA page since last August: https://twitter.com/AmericanistNew; and, I already have someone waiting to act as administrator for a new Facebook page. Once again, our FB & Twitter pages are not stand alones, rather secondaries to scoop and drive new user traffic to the home site.
Long Term:
- A New Americanist video channel including a regular flow of fully produced 2-3 minute videos; each highlighting an important story or current event.
- Assistant administrator: a paid part/full time position for someone to help me take this all to the next level to ensure redundancy & continuity for the site beyond being merely a single person creation.
You’ll notice a new ⭐️DONATE ⭐️ menu link appearing up top in the right corner of the home page. I’ve also added a donation link down on the footer and will be placing a short tag line and donate button at the bottom of each thread before the commenting section. A snail mail address is also provided on the donate page for those who don’t care to use PayPal.
I will leave this thread up until MORNING MUSTER tomorrow morning to give everyone a chance to see it. This will be the only time I post this.
