NE: Trump doubled down on his claim the 2020 election was rigged. Not surprisingly, the CNN moderator immediately went after Trump for denying the results of the election. âYou still have not acknowledged the 2020 election results, but you are also under active federal investigation for trying to overturn the 2020 election results,â Collins said. âYour first term ended with a deadly riot at the Capitol, and you still have not publicly acknowledged the 2020 election results. Why should Americans put you back in the White House?â
Trump replied:
âI think that when you look at that result, and when you look at what happened during that election, unless youâre a very stupid person, you see what happened. A lot of the peopleâout of the people in this audience and maybe a couple that donâtâbut most people understand what happened was a rigged election. And itâs a shame that we had to go through it. Itâs very bad for our country. All over the world, they looked at it and they saw exactly what everyone else saw.â

TWO: He defended his actions on January 6, 2020 and didnât hold back when asked about it. Trump pulled out notes with Twitter and Truth Social posts he made that day calling for peaceful protests.

THREE: The former president defended pushing then-Vice President Mike Pence to send the Electoral College votes back to the states. Pence âmade a mistake. His lawyer said, âYou cannot move.â I call them the human conveyor belt. I said, even if the votes⌠are absolutely fraudulent, he can say yes, or he can send them back⌠and the Democrats played it and the RINOs played it. And then the election was over. They told him he couldnât do it. And Mike said to me, âI canât do it. The lawyers told me you canât do it. They canât do it.â The lawyers are wrong. Because right after the election, they all met, the RINOs and the Democrats, and they worked out a plan to make sure that future vice presidents donât do what I said you could do.â

âThatâs not what happened,â Collins pushed back. âYouâre referring to the electoral account. I read, I read that there is no authority. Legal experts, including Republican legal experts, say that he does not have that authority, Mr. President.â
âBut why did they change the law, and then, saying that you canât do it?â Trump shot back. âThey didnât change the law. They strengthened the law because they were worried about what you could do,â Collins replied.
FOUR: Trump says he will pardon âmanyâ of the J6 protesters who remain in jail:
âI am inclined to pardon many of them,â he said. âI canât say for every single one because a couple of them, probably, they got out of control. But, you know, when you look at Antifa, what theyâve done to them⌠then what theyâve done to these people, they persecuted these people. And yeah, my answer is, I am most likely, if I get in, I will most likelyâI wouldnât say it will be a large portion of them. You know, they did a very (applause) and itâd be very early on.”

âAnd theyâre living in hell right now,â Trump added. âSo when it comes to living in hell, and theyâre policemen and firemen and theyâre soldiers, and theyâre carpenters and electricians, and theyâre great people. Many of them are just great people.â

FIVE: Trump thinks the sexual assault accusations against him by E. Jean Carroll have to do with the 2024 election. âBecause whatâs happening is theyâre doing this for election interference,â he said. Asked if he thinks the accusations will hurt him with female voters, Trump said, âNo, I donât think so because the whole thing â just so you understand. Ready? â I never met this woman. I never saw this woman.â
âśď¸ 1 Minute 45 Seconds
SIX: Trump defended banning bump stocks, but insisted heâs a staunch defender of the 2nd Amendment âAs you know, the bump stocks are actually a very unimportant thing,â he said. âAnd the NRA, I went with them and they said it doesnât mean anything. And weâre actuallyâall they do is teach you how to shoot very inaccurately. So we did that.â
But he insisted, âThereâs been nobody thatâs protected the Second Amendment, as you know, like I have. I protected it through thick and thin. Not easy to do. But we have a very big mental health problem in this country. And again, itâs not the gun that pulls the trigger. Itâs the person that pulls the trigger. And we have to protect the 2nd Amendment.â

SEVEN: The former president defended the Supreme Courtâs decision to send abortion back to the statesâand took credit for it.
âIt was such a great victory, and people are starting to understand. And now, you know, that they wanted to bring it back to the states, but that was probably the least important part of that victory,â he said. âGetting rid of Roe v. Wade was an incredible thing for pro-life because it gave pro-life something to negotiate with⌠deals are being made. Deals are going to be made.â
âLook, everybody that was president wanted to get rid and tried to get rid of Roe v. Wade. Fifty years. Republicans for 50 years. This has been going onâactually, a couple of Democratsâbut for 50 years, this has been going on. I was able to do it, and I was very honored to do it.â
âśď¸ 1 Minute 53 Seconds
He explained that he supports abortion in cases of rape, incest, or risk to the life of the mother. He added:
âI think itâs very important to say this: I consider the other side to be radical because the other side under Roe v Wade and other things, the other side, theyâre radical because they will â remember the debate with Hillary Clinton â they said ârip the baby out of the wombâ at the end of the ninth months. They will kill the baby in the ninth month.â
Eight: Trump warned Thursday will be âa day of infamyâ when Title 42 expires:
âTomorrow is going to be a day of infamy,â he said. âYouâre gonna have tens of thousands of people pouring into our country⌠Youâre going to have millions of people pouring into our country⌠at a level that nobodyâs ever seen before. These people are sick â anybody that wants this to happen to our country â theyâre destroying our country, and this should not be allowed to happen.â
âIf people are sick and have infectious diseases and lots of other problems, we donât want them being in our country. We have enough problems right now. We have problems like weâve never had in the history of our country.”
âśď¸ 1 Minute 18 Seconds
NINE: Trump said he could end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours, while refusing to say whether or not he wants Ukraine to win:
âIf Iâm president, I will have that war settled in one day, 24 hours,â he said. How? By meeting with Putin and Zelenskyy. âThey both have weaknesses and they both have strengths. And within 24 hours, that will be settled. Itâll be over.â
Asked if he wants Ukraine to win, Trump said, âI donât think in terms of winning and losing. I think in terms of getting it settled, so we stop killing all these people.â âŞ
